Larger Size Deals – Skirt….Dress….or Both?
When thrifting I don’t just look in the racks for my size, I also check the larger sizes and if I find something I like I’ll buy it. It can always be altered by taking it in; taking it up, rolling; cutting; belting or wearing it in a totally different way.
For example a skirt in a larger size especially with an elastic waist can be worn as a dress.

Goodwill – Spring and Summer Dresses
The time has come to put away the heavy clothing and break out the Spring and Summer gear. I pulled out these dresses which were all purchased last year from Goodwill stores in Exton, Middletown and Thorndale. They were each $5.00 or less and as you can see I love black and white!

From April’s edition of Instyle magazine I was inspired by the “your Look/Three Ways Polka-Dot Skirt on page 217. I don’t have a Polka-Dot skirt but this is what I came up with using a Polka-Dot dress that I purchased in 2009.

I purchased these from Walgreens on sale with a coupon and find that they are easier to install than Sally Hansen. Quick and easy makes it #1 in my book.
Goodwill Deals – Gucci from the '90's
Today I was going through my closet finding items to donate and I came across these 3 Gucci purses which were thrifted from Goodwill in 1991. My sister, Gloria worked at Goodwill in Dover for a year before her death in 1992. She and I loved shopping there even before it became popular. Leather coats, hats, boots and these purses are among some of the items that I still have to this day.
