Festive Family Fun
Hello Friends and Happy Monday!
I trust you all had a great weekend with an opportunity to do something special with your family or friends. Saturday evening after spending all day sitting on hard gym bleachers at our son’s 1st wrestling tournament, hubby and I attended a festive family event. The family members were some that we had never met before nor did we know they live only 12 miles from us.
It was at my mother-in-law’s funeral this past summer that a cousin told us about this annual family affair and invited us to attend. It was a festive evening spent with our new found family members and their wonderful friends.
Here are a few highlights from the evening.
Their home was beautifully decorated and decked out for the holidays
Plenty of food and drinks…
Joyful jokes and jolly …
Many conversations and memories from past…
Festive photo in front of twinkling windows…
Giggles, games and gambling…
A night of Festive Family Fun led to a our first Snowy Sunday…
Great share Antoinette!!! Your pictures are wonderful I can feel the love 🙂 xoxo
Thank you, it reminded me of the days as a child when we had a lot of relatives over for the holidays – brought back many good memories and for that I am thankful! Have a fantabulous week!
Just beautiful, nothing like family. I love the decoration in the home, very pretty and the collage. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, yes, they did a wonderful job and welcomed us with open arms – so comforting and blessed!!
This really put me in the spirit seeing the beautiful Christmas decorations. Thanks for sharing and lifting my spirits today.
I am so glad because this time of year can be overwhelming and depressing. Believe it or not, despite this party I haven’t gotten into the spirit yet, I don’t have any decorations up or anything…guess it’ll hit soon…hopefully by the 24th – lol!!!
What a lovely home! I love the trees and decor…and that food spread looked good too. 😉 Nothing like family and laughter over the holidays. 🙂

Yes, although we were both tired before we got there, it was well worth it and we had a wonderful time. It was something that we both needed especially during the holidays as this will be hubby’s first without his mother. Have a terrific Tuesday.
The pictures definitely had me feeling like I was somewhat apart. Very beautiful. Their annual holiday event is definitely well thought out and seemed planned out to perfection. Soo happy you were able to connect with more family. I think that happens to a lot of us, This world is NOT as BIG as we think for many of us have some near family members we never imagined having or maybe some of our families are just that BIG, either way it happens. These are the moments I like to share, FAMILY TIME!!
Great, I am glad that I captured and brought you into the spirit of the night, thank you. It’s funny, but just when hubby and I thought our family had gotten smaller after the death of his mother and my grandmother – God stepped in and gave us more members to share and love. It definitely was a great holiday event and we had a wonderful time. I hope you are enjoying the season and thanks for stopping and sharing – Smooches!
I love your dress!!!! What a beautiful home. Thanks for stopping by my blog, following you everywhere now (just linked to Twitter!)>

Yes, I could imagine you at the table laughing and winning the pot!
This evening looked so delightful, I would of loved every part of it. Thanks for sharing it with us. Giggles, games and gambling…just too fun.
Yes, it was such a nice event for my husband since they are his blood relatives and especially after the loss of his mother is was also comforting.
Beautiful photos! Looks like everyone had a lot of fun! My weekend contained Breakfast with Santa with my daughters, decorating our tree and fire place, daughter’s swimming lessons, and family and I went out to eat at Blue Willow-a popular Southern Style Food Restaurant in Social Circle, Ga.
love all the decorations. It’s so great spending this time of year with family and/or friends. I heard about a blizzard near your neck of the woods, I hope you’re staying warm and safe!
Yes, it was a wonderful event and a great pleasure meeting new relatives. Yes, the snow came in quickly and this weekend it’s just cold. Thanks for the shoes!!!!
