OOTD – Monday Madness
Happy Monday my friends. This morning was full of drama, while having breakfast we got a Robo call from the school’s Department of Transportation. The bus driver had quit and they were looking for a replacement but wasn’t sure what time the bus would arrive. My son, being anxious to get to school…(yea right) whined and begged to drive my car. He had driven me to Dover and back on Saturday so was comfortable with the car, however, it was his first solo trip. I gave in and let him drive, praying until I got the call from the school that he had arrived safely and my car key was in the office. Tayair had to drive me to his school to pick up my car and en route his windshield wiper flew off. It was foggy and his defroster took almost a 1/2 hour to clear the window but we made it safely and he went to his shop to have them replaced. I was an hour late to work but it’s three days before my birthday, my son’s are safe so it’s all good.
Got the call and I was happy!

OOTD – Work Week Skirt Week – Last Day
Happy Thursday my friends, I hope you are having a stress-free productive day. This is the last day of skirt week because tomorrow I will be traveling and won’t be in the office. I still have a lot more to wear but I did find several that will be sold at next month’s Flea Market. This weekend I may tackle the shoes but if not, it will definitely be done before the end of the month.
This skirt still had the price tag on it, clearance for $7.98, from Burlington Coat Factory and I almost didn’t wear it. It’s ruffled on the sides and I thought it might accentuate my thighs but the color matched the shoes (purchased here) so I cut the tag and wore it. The multi color top is a closet staple as is the jewelry (because I can’t remember where purchased).
I picked up this cloth fan at Dollar Tree to keep in my purse for those “personal summer” moments!
Have a blessed day ~Smooches!
OOTD – Rainy Days and Tuesdays
Breathe in through the nose….blow out through the mouth….again….breathe in through the nose….hold it….hold it….now….breathe out pushing hard… Whew – I love shortened work weeks but sometimes it can be a bit much especially since I was also off last Friday and will be off again this Thursday. Last Monday’s post was entitled “Rainy Days and Mondays”, and a tribute to The Carpenters, today’s post is “Rainy Days and Tuesdays” a tribute to Summer 2012. If you live on the East coast, one thing we can all agree upon is that Summer 2012 was extremely hot AND Summer 2012 went by extremely too fast! I was fortunate enough to spend a lot of time poolside and even lucked out on Friday and got one last day before the weather turned. There probably won’t be anymore 90 degree, lazy, hazy pool days this month and next month I will have the pool closed. The rain is supposed to continue here until Thursday and I hope it’s the same forecast in Charlotte, North Carolina. President Obama’s acceptance speech is outdoors and it would be terrible for people to be standing outside in the rain, so prayers going up for good weather!
I am wearing another shift dress from Burlington Coat Factory, which I love because it can be worn all seasons by simply adding a blazer or cardigan in the fall and then tights and boots in the winter.
Toes are going to stay out until it starts to snow – sike! These Fioni shoes were purchased last year from Payless and are very comfortable. Bracelet and earrings are jewelry box staples, the ring is my birthstone, Sapphire – September…Virgo….yeah!!! Necklace purchased over the weekend from Rugged Wearhouse for $1.49!!!!
Although we didn’t leave town or go on vacation this summer, I must admit that it was very nice to have mini staycations because it allowed me to spend quality time with my men. Looking forward to cooler temps and beautiful colors of fall. Have a fantabulous day and stay dry!
Apple Bottoms purse was also purchased last year from Burlington Coat Factory
OOTD – Heading to Church
God’s morning, I hope your week started off well and that you are having a wonderful day. To church I wore this multi print shift dress purchased last year from Burlington Coat Factory. I took a light weight cardigan because I was taught that when seated your dress should fall over your knees, if not, make sure you have something to cover them – gotta love old skool teachings!

OOTD – Rainy Days and Mondays
In 1971, The Carpenters sang, Rainy Days and Mondays Always Get Me Down, perhaps it did for them but it doesn’t for me, especially when I get to wear a fedora instead of an umbrella!

OOTD – Autumn Colors
Good Morning, I hope everyone is having a great day. Can you feel that Autumn is right around the corner? This morning I turned off the AC and opened up the kitchen windows allowing in some fresh air. Once the weather cools I will be able to transition this dress by adding a cardigan or blazer.

OOTD – Change of the Shoes
This morning I was all dressed and ready to go and it wasn’t until I got into the car that I realized that there was no black in my dress, or at least it didn’t look like it without my glasses! Needless to say, my son was none to happy to take additional pictures because he was already immersed in his morning sports show. I know the new rule of fashion is not to be too matchy matchy but I had to change my shoes especially since I wore them earlier this week. Take a look and let me know which shoes looks better with the dress that I now see has black in it – I am really not a morning person!!!!

OOTD – Thundering Tuesday
This spring it seemed like it rained everyday and now at the end of the summer we are having a drought. Farmers across the country are having difficulty irrigating their crops and we will see price increases in the fall.
Today’s forecast was for heavy rains and thunderstorms and God didn’t disappoint. “He may not come when you want him, but he’s always right on time!”. Hopefully today’s rains helped with the crops throughout the state.
My outfit is a dress that was purchased last year from Burlington Coat Factory as well as the shoes from Payless. My purse also a few years old is from either TJMaxx or Marshall’s.

OOTD – Purple Prints
Happy Thursday, and thank goodness that we on the horizon to the weekend! I’ve been watching some of the results of the 2012 Olympic games and losing sleep because of it so Saturday I will definitely be sleeping in. For today’s outfit I mixed a purple print because these floral sandals sat in my closet for over a year waiting for a solid match.
