I don’t care what that little Punxsutawney Phil saw or didn’t see on Groundhog Day! I honestly don’t think that we have seen the last of the cold weather nor the last of the snow. These pictures were taken a few days after the 2016 Blizzard. However, none of that matters because I am prepared for whatever the winter brings with my over-the-knee suede boots!
I recently read an article about women over 50 wearing over-the knee boots – should they or shouldn’t they. Well you know me, my answer is definitely YES!
Whether you wear them with a dress like this one from Avon or over jeans and pants, I think they are a great look in the winter.
I of course will wear a sweater or blazer just in case I need to stay toasty in the office but menopause most likely will prevent that!
Can you believe that Avon is over 130 years? You really need to check out a catalog to see some of the other great clothes and accessories that they have.
The purse/tote was thrifted from Goodwill last year and it’s the perfect size to carry all my essentials as well as my Tablet.
These accessories are my Avon Bling – remember when I featured them in this New Year’s Eve post?
Okay it’s your chance to chime in, what do you think, yay or nay for over-the-knee boots if you are over the age of fifty?

Hello friends, I trust you all had a wonderful week and perhaps are now gearing up for the best holiday of the season – THANKSGIVING!
I don’t know about you but I think the industry is pushing Christmas way too early, I am still eating Halloween candy! The commercials, the songs, and now the decorations three weeks before Turkey Day is a bit much for me,
What are your thoughts?
Anywho, I finally broke out the winter boots and have worn my favorite pair twice last week, the over-the-knee suede boots and I am lovin’ them.
Today’s Sunday Style Roundup is featuring only two outfits and they are both entitled “Black N Boots” I also wore one of my Infinity Scarves purchased from Burlington Coat Factory to break up all the black in this outfit. The dress is a sleeveless sheath from Ross and the blazer is thrifted from Goodwill.
I always feel so corporate in a blazer and Goodwill is definitely the place to go for them.
In this second outfit the skirt is Worthington and cowl neck are both from JCPenney. The necklace was a new piece thrifted from Goodwill.
Lovely fall leaves
Today I am also featuring my oldest son, Tayair, not for what he’s wearing although he is handsome in his suit jacket. He spoke at his CLSC Open House on Tuesday evening. CLSC is the University of Delaware’s Career and Life Studies Certificate program, a 2-Year, non-residential college certificate program for young adults with intellectual disabilities and I was very proud of him!
What do you think, have they started promoting Christmas too early?Enjoy the rest of the week!

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
I was recently featured on the website “Fabulous After 40”, and chosen as “Glam Gal of the Week”, (click the link to read in case you missed it.)
I was also selected along with two other ladies who we weren’t afraid to wear the color red after the age of 40. The red sheath dress that I was wearing was received from eShakti as a product review. Sheath dresses are my favorite styles and even with the the change in weather they will remain forefront in my closet.
In today’s outfit I am wearing a color blocked sleeveless sheath dress from Avon. I gave the outfit an edgier look with the pleather jacket thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill), studded booties and stud and spike accessories.
Remember when I purchased this Spike Necklace/Earring Set on my birthday at Rugged Wearhouse for a $1.00 on clearance?
Stud & Buckle Booties – Ross
House of Dereon Bag – Burlington Coat Factory
Last Friday I also wore a color block sleeveless sheath dress purchased from Ross with a pair of suede over-the-knee boots and long knit sweater.
These pictures were taken at at Camera’s Etc in Newark (pardon the drunken eyes)
I believe these rhinestone embellished boots were also purchased a few seasons ago from Ross.
As you can see, I have no intentions of putting away my sleeveless sheath dresses anytime soon.
How about you, what are your wardrobe items that you’ll wear in any season?
I was inspired by Transatlantic Blonde in wearing footless tights with a dress, and they were purchased at Target.
Today I am linking up with What I Wore Wednesday with The Pleated Poppy, come on over and meet some new bloggers.
DON’T FORGET – TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES TO WIN THE LEONISA MEN’S SHAPEWEAR (STOCKING STUFFER)
