Black N Boots
Hello friends, I trust you all had a wonderful week and perhaps are now gearing up for the best holiday of the season – THANKSGIVING!
I don’t know about you but I think the industry is pushing Christmas way too early, I am still eating Halloween candy! The commercials, the songs, and now the decorations three weeks before Turkey Day is a bit much for me,
What are your thoughts?
Anywho, I finally broke out the winter boots and have worn my favorite pair twice last week, the over-the-knee suede boots and I am lovin’ them.
Today’s Sunday Style Roundup is featuring only two outfits and they are both entitled “Black N Boots” I also wore one of my Infinity Scarves purchased from Burlington Coat Factory to break up all the black in this outfit. The dress is a sleeveless sheath from Ross and the blazer is thrifted from Goodwill.
I always feel so corporate in a blazer and Goodwill is definitely the place to go for them.
In this second outfit the skirt is Worthington and cowl neck are both from JCPenney. The necklace was a new piece thrifted from Goodwill.
Today I am also featuring my oldest son, Tayair, not for what he’s wearing although he is handsome in his suit jacket. He spoke at his CLSC Open House on Tuesday evening. CLSC is the University of Delaware’s Career and Life Studies Certificate program, a 2-Year, non-residential college certificate program for young adults with intellectual disabilities and I was very proud of him!
What do you think, have they started promoting Christmas too early?Enjoy the rest of the week!
Stay Blessed ~ No Stress in 2014!
You are always so well coordinated and look great and your son is so handsome. Good for him for reaching out to others. He is definitely a great role model for young people. I know you are so proud of him.
HJ, yes thank you I am so very proud of him. When you have a child with special needs you are always worried that they won’t have the same opportunities as others, but this program is really giving him self confidence. He now wants to work with younger children also with special needs so they can see that college is a possibility!
Honestly, I can’t stand the commercialism of it all.Brainwashing out society. Sorry I sound like the debbie downer of the group LOL. Congrats to your baby boy! He’s a handsome one!
Marie, you are hardly a “DEBBIE DOWNER” which by the way is one of my SNL characters, it’s just so sad that Thanksgiving is being pushed aside. I am glad that my sons are grown so I won’t be stressing the shopping, decorating, and holiday madness and will enjoy family time. Have a wonderful week.
Handsome son…and a lot to be proud of. 🙂
Yes, thank you. I hope you are enjoying the day.
As I said today…too darn soon for cold weather and pushing holiday stuff long before it’s time. Love the boots and scarf btw!
I know…but as my grandmother used to say, ‘time marches on’ – Happy Monday.
Aww! so handsome!!
I love both of your looks – the boots are fab, and the outfits are so chic!
Carylee, thank you my dear. Hope your week is starting off well.
That new camera is bomb, I see you lady! 😉 I plan on upgrading real soon. Love that scarf too!
Thank you Stacie, sometimes that camera has a mind of it’s own but I am still learning. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are enjoying this dreary Monday.
You look so cute! I love your colorful scarf!

Thank you Darcy, I appreciate the compliment. I hope you had a great weekend.
It is definitely too early to start the Christmas celebrations! You look lovely in both style options. I’m partial to the first look. I love the all blank ensemble with the vibrancy of the scarf. Happy Monday, Antionette. Many blessings to you 🙂
Thank you, I guess everyone is trying to get a jump on the holidays, but it’s just too soon for me to even think about decorating. I haven’t even planned a Thanksgiving menu!
Yes. . they are promoting Xmas too early and your #1 Son is so handsome. Good going Mom in your Great outfits and enjoy wearing your boots.
Thank you, we are uber proud of him because he is such an introvert. Hope you are enjoying the evening.
Your looks are absolutely fabulous and I absolutely love those boots.
Thank you very much, they are my favorite style just wished I could remember where I bought them!!!
I do one holiday at a time in the proper order. I remember growing up when we could not wait until Christmas and the decorations did not go up until after Thanksgiving. I refuse to buy into the commercial craziness. I love the outfits; black is my favorite color. I was going to ask where you bought the boots; however, you answered that question. Looking good.
I know, Gloria and I would put up the tree after dinner on Thanksgiving, but now it’s usually two weeks before Christmas! I keep trying to remember where I got those boots…I would love a 2nd pair in brown or cognac. Happy Hump Day.
Honey, those boots. When you are done with them, send them my way. LOVE. You are absolutely right about thrifting blazers at the Goodwill. Excellent place to stock up on them. Thank you for linking up with the Thrift Sisters.
