Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
Thank you all for voting last week and just as predicted it was a hard choice, but the winners were the
Payless Pumps!
One pair in this week’s contest is an entry into the Credit Card Insiders Splurge vs Save Campaign.
You all know that as much as I love shoes, I find it very difficult if not impossible to spend a lot of money on them, which is why I love to thrift or pay less!
So without further adieu here are this week’s choices:
Avon Black & White Forever Pumps
or
Enzo Angiolini Black Pumps
The black and white dress was purchased last summer on clearance for only $8.00 at JCPenney. Another way to save is to wait until the end of a retail season to buy clothes, which is usually a month or so before the end of the actual season so you’ll have plenty of time to wear them.
I added pops of color to the classic black and white combination with an orange necklace thrifted new from Goodwill, orange watch from Avon and a multi-color bracelet.
These black patent leather Enzo Angiolini pumps which I had once seen online for $59.99 at Nordstrom were thrifted from The Salvation Army for only $14.99, so they definitely were a Save vs a Splurge purchase!
Okay which shoes do you choose?
Today, I will be linking up with Whitney at her Personal Style Linkup and Shana at Thrifters Anonymous. Have a great day and we’ll chat tomorrow.

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
Today’s totally thrifted outfit with the exception of the shoes was purchased at Goodwill. Each piece was purchased separately from a Goodwill store either in Middletown or Smyrna.
In my mind I saw this outfit fitting differently, but hubby said it looked okay, so I stayed with it. The sweater, top, and skirt were $3.75 each but I bought them during the 20% off sale, paying only $3.00 each, and the belt was 80 cents. #winning
The suede pumps are Chinese Laundry, purchased from DSW, and off-black pantyhose from Walmart.
I thought about using a different style belt, however, it wasn’t until I got to work that I decided to change the way I wore the belt. I put it around the top and not the sweater which made me feel and look less bulky.
What do you think, which way would you have worn it?
After work I met up with one of the 2014 Goodwill Runway Show models and found these Nine West booties which now makes this outfit totally thrifted.
You never know what you might find at your local Goodwill, look what I saw before leaving.
Unfortunately, they were a size 7, too small for my feet and at $250.00, were too big for my purse.
Today I am linking up with Whitney Nic James for her Snow Day OOTD and ColorBlind Thrifters Anonymous pick of the week.

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
It’s going to be another cold weekend so I’m staying indoors to do some early Spring cleaning…yes, I’m even doing the boring chores. I don’t know about you, but I am super anxious for the warmer weather to get here so I can shed the layers and put away the snow shovel. Even though we have several more months before we get to that point, I wanted to at least get a jump start on it now.
I refuse to let the wintery winds of January stop me from thinking about or even shopping for the Spring season because now is the best time to do so. I recently signed up as an affiliate for Hannah Jane, a new online boutique with some great clothing and accessories at affordable prices. I found a few cute pieces on sale/clearance that I will be adding to my Spring wardrobe, take a look and let me know what you think.
I recently saw a fellow blogger in a classic white T-shirt, so I want to incorporate them into my wardrobe. This Yellow Bubble necklace would be a perfect accessory to jazz it up.
Fuchsia is such a fun Spring color and in jeans it will be great for a casual Friday outfit.
You know that I love all things Polka Dot and this top paired with a Houndstooth infinity scarf would be great to wear on an early chilly Spring morning or evening.
Or would it look better with the red scarf?
You definitely can’t go wrong with a White or Ivory button down blouse and I wish they had this skirt in stock!
I immediately feel in love with this striped comfy, casual knit dress. I could wear it with boots as shown or with pumps to work or even with ballet flats to run errands on the weekend. What do you think?
We do have a few months of cold weather ahead, so I’ll wear a turtleneck underneath this sweater.
AND… I finally found a pair of riding boots in my price range!
The great thing about shopping at Hannah Jane, other than the prices is that they offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $50, and a flat $4.99 rate for orders under $50.
If you get a chance, head over to their website and take advantage of the 20% off one item sale and if you sign up for the Newsletter you’ll get an additional discount off of your first order. #winning

I make money on some products and services that I talk about on this website through affiliate relationships with the merchants in question. I get a small commission on sales of those products. That in no way affects my opinion of those products and services.

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
My youngest will be entering High School as a Senior which means no more standing at the bus stop in the rain…he drives, and no more back to school shopping…he wouldn’t be caught dead shopping with his mother…besides he has his own Debit Card.
His last year in High School is bittersweet but it doesn’t mean I can’t go “Back to School Shopping” and take advantage of the end of the season sales.
I may not be doing this…
But I can do this…
Which is what I did at TJ Maxx and Burlington Coat Factory!

Jessica Simpson Wedge Shoes @ TJ Maxx

Floral Dress – $15.00

Black & White Stripped Maxi – $19.99

Unlisted loafers – $19.99

Bandolino Blue Patent Leather Wedges – $19.99

I didn’t purchase, but these Bandolino pumps were so comfy @ $24.99

Leaving TJ Maxx I saw Barbie, a true fashionista, whose skirt and top were purchased at Nzinga’s Boutique. A perfect outfit to wear out and about running errands or shopping (s/o to Steve aka Ken – lol)

Next I drove down Naamans Road to Burlington Coat Factory at the Tri State Mall

Maxi Dress – $14.98

Floral hi-low dress – $6.98

Infinity Scarf $5.98

Infinity Scarf – $4.98
I also purchased a pair of CitiClassifed Pumps ($9.98) and Yellow Evening Bag ($7.98) – I love clearance racks just as much as thrifting!
Next year we will be paying College tuition so there will be no more Back to School Shopping for me, also bittersweet!
Have you done any Back to School shopping or taken advantage of the end of season sales?

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!
Here we are again, the 1st Saturday of the month so you know where to find me – set up at Dutch Country Farmers Market in Middletown. I am still trying to purge household items, clothing, books, shoes anything I don’t need in order to make a few extra dollars and leave less to pack or donate when we decide to downsize.
As in most states you’ll find community yard sales, but did you know that the longest yard sale starts in North Addison, Michigan and goes through to Gadsen, Alabama? It is 690 miles long and people stake out their front yards along Hwy 127 for 4 days to sell new and used items!
According to the 127sale.com website, the yard sale officially starts the first Thursday in August and runs through to the following Sunday but this year it started on the 1st. People travel from the North, South, East and West some make it an annual event renting RV’s and camping out year after year. “An exchange of cultures with a common goal; to look, buy and sale!”
Can you imagine taking a week’s vacation to go to a Yard Sale? Oh well, I’ll just stick with my little space in the parking lot on the first Saturday of the month from April to November!
Flea Markets are fun because you never know what you’ll find!

For the ultimate shoe lover!
This school desk is refinished, but did you ever carve your initials into yours?
Have a fantastical day – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Monday, I trust you all had a wonderful weekend!
If you read my post on Saturday you know I went to Goodwill for their annual 50% off sale and it was like a department store’s Grand Opening. The place was PACKED, there were long lines waiting for the dressing rooms, people pushing full carts of clothing, laughter and excitement when new items with tags were found and clerks rolling out full racks every 5 minutes, it was an amazing sight to see. Although I had only planned to go to Middletown, I kinda sorta wished I had also driven down to Smyrna and Dover.
I did however go with the purpose of getting an “I Love Thrifting” t-shirt, which Goodwill introduced earlier this month for $12.00. I have never ever purchased an item at Goodwill for that much, but the $12 cost for t-shirt is supporting a worthy cause and I am a proud Goodwill VIP who loves to thrift!
I was also intent on finding clothing for the Fall because I have more than enough shorts, tanks and skirts for the summer season which is rapidly coming to an end. I thrifted a dress, 2 tops, a pair of culottes and two maxi skirts all for under $14.00 – #winning
I can’t wait for the next big sale and if you are not a Goodwill VIP, it’s free to sign up and you’ll receive emails with dates for these events.
Linking up today with Mommy Monday Blog – come on over and join in on the fun!

Have a fantabulous day!

Hello Friends and Happy Sizzling Saturday!
I don’t know about where you are but it is hot as Hades in Delaware, the heat index is above 100~, it was actually too hot to lounge poolside! I could only stand it a few minutes this morning before I had to head inside for the cool comfort of the air conditioning.
I decided to run to Goodwill for their “I Love Thrifting” sale today. Not wanting to spend a lot I only picked up two pair of shorts and a brown and white striped skirt….guess how much I paid? As a Goodwill VIP, I was entitled to 20% off so these three items cost me a whopping $9.00!!! #winning
Are you a Goodwill VIP? If not, it’s free to sign up and you’ll receive advance notification of specials, online coupons as well as instant savings on VIP Days. Needless to say, the lady in front of me wasn’t too happy when she heard that as a VIP member I was getting 20% off my entire purchase!
The I Love Thrifting T-Shirts are too cute!
There’s always new stuff at Goodwill too!
Canvas Sneakers – perfect for the summer!
It pays to be a Goodwill VIP!
Stay cool and hydrated – Smooches!
