Today’s totally thrifted outfit with the exception of the shoes was purchased at Goodwill. Each piece was purchased separately from a Goodwill store either in Middletown or Smyrna.
In my mind I saw this outfit fitting differently, but hubby said it looked okay, so I stayed with it. The sweater, top, and skirt were $3.75 each but I bought them during the 20% off sale, paying only $3.00 each, and the belt was 80 cents. #winning
The suede pumps are Chinese Laundry, purchased from DSW, and off-black pantyhose from Walmart.
I thought about using a different style belt, however, it wasn’t until I got to work that I decided to change the way I wore the belt. I put it around the top and not the sweater which made me feel and look less bulky.
What do you think, which way would you have worn it?
After work I met up with one of the 2014 Goodwill Runway Show models and found these Nine West booties which now makes this outfit totally thrifted.
You never know what you might find at your local Goodwill, look what I saw before leaving.
Unfortunately, they were a size 7, too small for my feet and at $250.00, were too big for my purse.
Today I am linking up with Whitney Nic James for her Snow Day OOTD and ColorBlind Thrifters Anonymous pick of the week.
I love both ways you can wear the belt. In fact, it can be two outfits…with the belt on he outside of the sweater in cooler weather and the belt on the blouse with or without the sweater in warmer weather! Either way, these are great finds for a fantastic price! Enjoy your new outfits!
Thank you, when I saw the sweater I immediately thought about belting it, but it wasn’t until I actually did it that I realized my body was not longer the same shape… thanks and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
I prefer the open sweater option especially with the black booties! If you have a thin red belt it would be perfect too because I notice that they would match your nails.
I would love to own a Louboutin heels someday but I still can’t afford it nor pronounce it properly. So I’ll stick to the more affordable footwear.
Thank you, I will try it with a red belt. I can’t afford LB’s either, even at GW, they were $250, marked down from $800 – no would I want a pair that expensive. Can you imagine how many pairs we could get for that price!!! Happy Hump Day Wednesday.
Yeah $250 is still too much for me. The most expensive pair of shoes I have are Ariat boots that I won at a recent giveaway! Can you believe that? Weren’t we talking about having to do too many tasks about giveways in your post a few days back? It’s not one of those and won a pair.
Either way, you are looking lovely. Isn’t it nice when you get to wear something and you look good and feel good, but you didn’t spend a fortune on your outfit. Awesome!!!!! And my heavens, really? Louboutins at the Thrift Store for $250? What? Too bad. 🙁 Anyway, I miss thrift shopping now. It makes me want to go. I hope I get to go this weekend.
Thank you, I love dressing for less, especially when I buy things at different times and can put together an outfit. Can you imagine, I’ve seen Gucci and LV but this was the first time seeing high end shoes! Happy Fri-Yay!
I like the belt both ways. I wish I knew how to thrift because I’m always shopping at the mall and it’s hurting my pocket book. The thrift shops around here never have anything good and have a funny smell.
Yes, I haven’t been inside a mall in years, if it’s not thrifted or on clearance I can’t make myself buy it. If you find a thrifted item that you really like, put it in a sealed plastic bag with coffee beans to remove the smell before washing it. #thrifterstrick
Thank you, I love thrifting but it can get overwhelming because I never get to wear everything during the season…which is why I don’t mind re-donating. Can’t do that paying full retail! Have a fantastic weekend my dear.
Honestly (and this I mean as an honest compliment) I think a person who can managed to look stunning with under $20 has pure talent and great eyes at shopping! I would go with the booties, gives a bit of edge to the whole look 🙂
What a beautifully honest comment, which is much appreciated. I love thrifting and have been doing so for such a long time that I can’t ever imagine paying full price retail. Thanks for taking the time to comment and I hope you have a wonderful week.

I do not understand about the clothes, but I love the clothes associated with modesty
Thank you, you sound like my husband.
What a great and inspiring look honey! Great finding! 😉

I know right…as if they were waiting just for me. Thanks and see you and Darrius at the Runway Show.
Another great look!!!
Thank you my dear – didn’t appear too bulky?
Very cute outfit, either way. And the booties are perfect!
Thank you, I think there were just waiting for me! Happy Hump Day Wednesday.

WHAT!!!???? How cool is that – congratulations!!!!
I think they send all the good stuff to the Goodwill’s in your area because I never score like you!
It’s really a hit or miss – after the new year it’s better and aso when the seasons change. How many are in your immediate area?
You always pick up great stuff! I can’t believe you got LB’s at Goodwill that is wayy to cool. Great post
Thanks, but I didn’t get the LouieB’s – they were too small (size 7) and cost too much ($250)
I like the belt inside and the sweater open, but you always look great!
(blushing and walking away slowly) – thank you sweet lady!
Oh my gosh!! Simply stunning! And Louboutins for $250 in my size……Gasp!! Incredible~

great look! I like it both ways!
Thank you, I think the next time I might try it with a thicker belt – what do you think?
that sounds like it would be cute!
