OOTD – Poppin Pink
Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
I am so excited because tomorrow is the first Flea Market of the season at Dutch Country Farmers Market in Middletown and I will be there bright and early! I love getting rid of unused household items and making extra cash while doing it. Yard Sales are also great ways to accomplish this but there is more foot traffic at Farmers’ Market and I look forward to seeing AND buying from the other vendors. This season in addition to the household items, books and of course shoes, I will also be selling wholesale costume jewelry and am anxious to see how it goes. I purchased necklaces, bracelets and rings from a wholesale dealer in anticipation of making a good profit – I hope it pans out – wish me luck!
Today is casual Friday so I’m wearing jeans, PINK jeans…I didn’t want it to be too much so decided to wear a long Tunic over them, what do you think?
Do you like Flea Markets and Yard Sales?
Tunic – East Eassence.com // Liz Claiborne Jeans – JC Penney // Attention Shoes – Kmart

Have a fantabulous weekend – Smooches!
Remembering Bob Marley
Happy Birthday
Nesta Robert Marley
“He made his reggae music to uplift us, inform, entertain, inspire, and make change in the world. He’s a musician, a poet and songwriter, a philosopher, a soldier, an activist and a leader.” – Cedella Marley
Delaware Roots
His mother, Cedella Booker, relocated from Jamaica to his first American home in Wilmington, Delaware in 1966. That same year Bob Marley married Rita Anderson and joined his mother in Delaware for a few months, where he worked as a DuPont lab assistant and on an assembly line at a Chrysler plant under the alias Donald Marley. Every summer we have a PeoplesFestival at the Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park in Wilmington celebrating his life with live music, food, vendors and fun.
One of my favorite Bob Marley hits was “one love” which is now a theme song for vacation travel to Jamaica.
What is yours?
Flea Market Saturday – “Getting Rid of Stuff 1 Saturday a Month At A Time”
On the first Saturday of each month you can set up tables to sell new and used items for a fee of $15.00, at The Dutch Country Farmers Market in Middletown. In June I made over $150.00, but last month it was too darn hot, so today the boys and I went and got a great spot in the shade – thanks Sister Jeanette!!!
I try not to spend my profits but today was not a good selling day so I walked around to check out the other vendors and came across this Raggedy Anne Doll for $1.00 to add to my collection.
We got up early so Tayair decided to nap and Malik stayed in the air conditioned car for most of the morning.
If you are a collector of old newspapers and magazines, these were being sold for $5.00 a piece.
Of course I purchased more jewelry from my favorite $1.00 vendor, and a tripod for my camera. All in all it was a good day and I am looking forward to next month.
