Mother’s Day breakfast-in-bed (thanks hubby) and lunch at Ruby Tuesdays (thanks sons) really blew my diet so today it’s back to strict Nutrisystem!

I have been wanting to wear these white pants for several weeks now but the weather hasn’t been warm or sunny enough.
Today is the day, and in my head I hear the woman in the commercial saying, “don’t wear white after Labor Day – who are you? – my grandmother?” The actress, Lisa Raye wears white everyday so here I am in my white pants before Memorial Day.

I had a few Walmart exclusive coupons and needed toiletries so I decided to hit up Wally World (Walmart) this weekend.
Malik drove and Tayair and I were passengers, this was the first time Tayair rode with his lil brother and he said, “it was alright” – thank goodness Malik waits to text after driving!

Today’s weather wasn’t as dreary as the previous days, but still cool enough for long sleeves. The denim vest was thrifted from Goodwill but it started out as a dress. I removed the sleeves and sewed an animal print fabric around the arm holes and along the front pockets to make it an original.

Last week the temperature was hovering near 90 degrees and people were wearing shorts on Saturday. This week after a cold and rainy start on Sunday (snow in upstate PA), we’re lucky to get above 50 degrees! Sleeveless dresses have been put back into the closet and long sleeves and skirts are front and center – but my tootsies are out and out they will stay until winter!

Today is Friday the 13th and it was my 4th “staycation” day of the year. My New Year’s Resolution was to take one Friday off every month and today was the day and it was perfect! Heading out to get my oil changed and then on to do some thrifting.
