Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday
Can you believe that it was just a week ago today when we were preparing for New Year’s festivities and the week before that Christmas – are you serious – the holidays are over already?
As I sit writing this post the snow is falling with a vengeance for what is to be the first major snow storm of 2014, and it’s name is Hercules.
I changed the calendar, #2 son and hubby returned to school, I returned to work but it seemed too soon – the holidays are over! No more shopping, wrapping or singing Christmas Carols. I already miss the TV specials, Charlie Brown Christmas, It’s A Wonderful Life and the Twilight Zone Marathon…are you serious the holidays are over already?

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay
Today’s “Friday Foodie Feature” is being preempted by these images which I captured this morning from my driveway.
As I sat in the car saying my “commuting prayer” I looked up to see a beautiful sun filled sky. I immediately stopped praying, grabbed the camera from the back seat and snapped three pictures. It was a few minutes past 8:00 am, and running late as usual I didn’t take time to review them. The sun was so bright while taking these pictures I couldn’t really see what I had shot.
Everyday when I get to work the first thing I do is read “Our Daily Bread” Devotion of the day. I hadn’t planned on viewing the pictures until later but when I saw the title of today’s devotion – THE GIFT OF LIGHT, I was filled with chills!
Now if you look at the pictures again you will notice red spots, strategic in their placement which may have come from the glare on the camera lens…
…but take a look at these cell phone pictures that I took last Saturday night as we crossed the Delaware Memorial Bridge a little after 8:00 p.m.

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
For me Thursday is the best day of the week, we’ve made it through Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and start to look forward to the weekend. Thursday is a heads-down day at work, tying up loose ends, finishing up the weekly to-do list in anticipation of an easy breezy Friday.
Thursday is also a day of reflection some even define it as Thankful Thursday. As we rush through the week from one event to another, it’s nice to take a few minutes to think about and then speak aloud for which we are grateful. Speaking positivity into the atmosphere is a good way to keep life’s trials and tribulations in check.
“Count your blessing so that you can lose count of your problems”
I am thankful for my health both physical and mental!
I am thankful for my family, friends and faith!
I am thankful I have a job and today is pay day!
I am thankful for this thrifted denim skirt and striped top both from GW Boutique
Your Turn – what are you thankful for?
Have a fantabulous day – Smooches!

Hello Friends, I hope you had a good day.
I didn’t make it into work this morning because of a quick moving, yet severe rainstorm that caused me to turn around and head home. Fortunately the weather improved and it turned into a wonderful sunny afternoon.
I’m still on the Nutrisystem program and eating their meals but that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped cooking dinner for my men. Last night’s easy breezy meal contained only 4 ingredients that took 40 minutes to prepare.
They really liked this dish and there was enough leftover for them to have for lunch today. If you try this recipe let me know, and if you put your own little twist on it, tell me what you used.
Ingredients:
Dry Pasta
Turkey Sausage
Frozen Broccoli
Salad Dressing
Boil pasta according to box instructions

Cut Turkey Sausage into bit size pieces

Cover sausage with 1/2 cup water and 1/4 cup salad dressing

Cook 10 minutes

Add broccoli, cover and cook add’l 15 mins or until desired texture

Add to drained pasta

Sprinkle with Parmesan Cheese if desired
Enjoy!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday
If you are fortunate enough to have an extra day off, I hope you are enjoying it, but if like me you are back to work, I hope you are also enjoying it – at least it’s quiet. Not only is it quiet, but it is raining and dreary unlike the sunshine and warmth of the weekend, it would have been a perfect day to sleep in!
I spent the majority of Saturday, 9 hours to be exact, in my closets sorting through items that I haven’t worn or no longer fit and I still have too many clothes! I will be sending boxes to my girlfriend for her daughters as well as donating to Goodwill.
I am wearing two kloset keepers because first of all I love skirts and secondly, the side embellishments on this top is unique.
Thrifted skirt – GW Boutique
Rocket Dog Shoes – The Shoe Dept
What are your closet keepers?

I chose to cover the maxi dress with a top and belt because I’m not comfortable wearing skinny straps to work. The temps are expected to reach 100~ and we have a scheduled fire drill at 2:30 this afternoon so I might have to remove the top while outside.

I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day Holiday weekend, the unofficial start of summer 2012. My men and I had a nice weekend and I spent most of my time outdoors working in the yard and opening the pool. The temperature was in the low 90’s and I didn’t realize how intense the sun was nor did I see the poison ivy intertwined in the tree branches that I cut. Despite the results of these two oversights I had a great time grilling and spending time outdoors which for me is always relaxing.
It is now tIme to get my mind right in preparation for another short work week which is always more hectic than a regular 5-day week!
