today is Thankful Thursday which has me thinking, what am I truly thankful for? I know I always end my post with, “I am thankful for my family, my friends and of course my faith” but really is that all?
How about you, what are you REALLY thankful for?
Sending text messages and emails are fine, but do you have someone that you can pick up the phone and call for a friendly and fun conversation?
Bethankfulfor that.
Do you live in a house, apartment or condo and when you come home there is someone there to greet you or meet you later in the day?
Bethankful for that.
Do you drive or commute to work oftentimes doing the same boring task over and over again, yet you get paid to do so?
Be thankful for that.
Do you go to the grocery store, gas station or mall, spending way too much money on items, but in your wallet there is cash, a debit or credit card to pay for it?
Be thankful for that.
Does your kids or grandkids make you laugh and sometimes cry?
Be thankful for that.
Does sunshine on your face feel good and rain on a Sunday morning lull you back to sleep?
Be thankful for that.
Does a good workout, a few pounds lost or looking good in your favorite outfit make you smile?
Be thankful for that.
I woke up this morning in my right mind, a healthy body and a good spirit so for that I am truly thankful.
Now it’s your turn, what are you really THANKFUL for?
I am thankful to be still kicking at an age many have not and will not reach and I’m thankful for the hubs and my drive me batty kids…and of course the grandson 🙂
Yes, as you and I know, life is short and many do not live long, therefore, with each day when we open our eyes, we should be thankful. Enjoy hubby, the kids and the grand baby!
You’re so right about being thankful for more than just family, friends and our faith. This week I am feeling so much better than I have been in the last 3 weeks. So I would have to say that I am thankful for that and for my adorable little Bee learning most of her alphabet. Hope you have an amazing and Blessed thankful Thursday.
I have so much for which to be thankful. I recently was challenged by a facebook friend to participate in the Gratitude Challege. Each day for 5 days you list 3 things for which you are grateful and challenge 2 other people each day to take the challenge. That is a total of 15 things and challenge 10 people in 10 days. It is quite a challenge to put them in writing. Give it a try. It was fun. I realized I’m have been so blessed but don’t show it as often as I should.
So true, if we actually stopped and took the time to think about all the blessings we have been given, we may even surprise ourselves. I give thanks each and everyday for all the blessings that my family and I have been given. I love the Gratitude Challenge and think everyone should take it. Have a fantastic weekend my bloggy friend!
I am thankful that God gave me another day and I can feed myself, wash myself, visit my Family and read Blogs like this.
oooh thank you my dear BlogSisah, I am thankful for you as well.
