welcome to Week 21 of “You Choose the Shoes“. I’ve had so much fun with this mid-week feature and I love all of your comments, but as with all good things this too must come to an end. As the weather cools so will the contest and September most likely will be the last month until Spring, but who knows I may change my mind. What say you?
I learned so much at last weekend’s SITSGirls Bloggy Boot Camp which you can read about tomorrow, that I am going to make a few changes to my blog. There will be changes to the posting schedule as well as the topics but I think you will like it so stay tuned.
Now lets get to to last week’s contest…by an overwhelming majority the winners were the HEELS!
This week’s contenders are Madden Girl versus Madden Girl or big Polka Dots versus little Polka Dots or as I like to call them my “Betty Boop” shoes. Speaking of Betty Boop, do you know the origination of the cartoon character? I recently heard on the Tom Joyner Morning Show that she was a “stolen” caricature based on jazz singer “Baby” Esther Jones. If you want to read more about it click here.
Do you remember this sheath dress from eShakti? I love the style and wearing it but by the end of the day it is so wrinkled!
These Madden Girl heels were purchased a few years ago from DSW and were actually featured in the 1st “You Choose the Shoes” post.
The necklace and earrings are Avon and bracelet is from Old Navy, purchased for $1.99.
I love my polka dot Betty Boop shoes, but which pair looks better with this sleeveless sheath?
Okay, are you ready to make a decision? Will it be Madden Girl big Polka Dots or…
Madden Girl little polka dots?
You Choose The Shoes then head over to MrsLookingGood’s blog to check out this month’s #ExShoesMe entries.
I can never just pick one they all look so fab!!! I wish I could go to DSW shoes and get lucky I never find my size in cute shoes or…..one shoe always missing smh. Love the share xo
You are funny, I haven’t been to DSW in over a year, because obviously I already have too many pairs of shoes in the closet. I hope you had a wonderful Wednesday.
Thanks lil sis, just finished writing the post and it was such a fantastic conference. I love your pics from the reunion, looks like you guys had a fantastic time!
I love this beautiful red sheath dress you have on! For my vote, I’m going for the red polka dot madden heels. Go BIG or go home!
I’m looking forward to reading about your bootcamp. I’ve always been interested in attending a workshop on how to make my blog better and want your honest opinion if it’s worth it or not.
And THANK YOU for the mention in your post, I’m blessed to have bloggy friends like you who tirelessly support other bloggers!
Thank you for the vote and I agree with your assessment – go big or go home! I hope you enjoy my post on the Boot Camp and that it will convince you to attend one in your area.
I love supporting fellow bloggers, especially when it’s reciprocated!!
This is a tough one! Love the polka dots, but love the style of the black ones. I’m going with the black ones since they do have a bit of polka dot on the flowers, so, best of both worlds I say!
I love the style of the black ones; however, with this dress I think you should go with the big polka dots, they pick up the red in the dress. Just for your consideration, the black ones would probably work well if you had a long sleeve cardigan with the dress. I look forward to next spring when you continue this blog:-)
Thanks cuz, and I agree with your assessment. The blog will continue, just a new feature will replace the You Choose the Shoes until the spring. Have a wonderful weekend!

I’m excited to read what you learned from SITS! Can’t wait. Love the outfit and both shoes…but my favorite pair are the polka-dot ones. Cute!

This is a hard one but I think the solid black…and maybe a colorful scarf or necklace to go with the dress.
Good eye, I will try a scarf the next time I wear the dress, thanks!
I like both. I have a fetish for polka dots.
oh…sounds like a nice fetish to have! Hope you are having a good week.
This week I am going with the Little polka dots for this dress. Enjoy!
What…no toe cleavage…thanks sis!
We like the big polka dots…they add some flair to your otherwise solid-colored outfit.
Loving the mani/pedi 😉
Thank you miss lady, I have to agree and it’s time for a new mani/pedi but am waiting for my birthday weekend!
Love the polka dots. They are so adorable.
Aren’t they cute? I love polka dots and have several tops one of which I will be wearing tomorrow. Have a good evening.
The black pair seems too heavy for now and requires a jacket or sweater. The polka dot pair is nice for warm temps and reads nautical.
Thank you Glenda, I love your fashion tips. Have a great week.
They are both cute, but I love the polka dots with the red that tie in with your dress. It makes a lovely outfit!
Thank you, they are kinda cute aren’t they – thanks for the vote. I hope you had a wonderful Wednesday!

the polka-dots!!!! Oh yesssss!
Thank you my bloggy friend. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
I like the big polka dots. Nice with the simplicity of the dress.
Dawn, thank you for the vote. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the weather.

Anny, thank you very much. I hope you are having a fantastic Friday leading into a wonderful weekend!
