Are you ready for the biggest game of the season? Well if not, then you better head over to your local Safeway to stock up on snacks, sodas and a chance to win $50,000 or an nflshop.com gift card.
On Sundays in our house especially during football season my sons are parked in front of the television watching the games and eating whatever I put in front of them. So when I was given an opportunity to recreate this Snickers® Blitz Dip from Mars®, I knew it would be a hit with the mini men.
Malik is home from college on a winter break and had been itching to get back behind the wheel so he enthusiastically agreed to drive me to Safeway. As soon as I walked into the store there was a large display so I immediately grabbed a few bags of Tostitos Scoops, a few jars of Chunky Salsa and several 12-packs of Pepsi before heading inside to get the ingredients to make the Snickers® Blitz Dip.

Ingredients:
1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/2 cup chopped Snickers® bar – I purchased the mini bites so that we had plenty of leftovers!
Optional:
Apple slices for dipping
Steps (Directions):
1. Whisk together vanilla Greek yogurt and peanut butter. Stir in chopped Snickers®. Additional chopped Snickers® can be added to the top for garnish, if desired.
2. Serve with apple slices.
TIP: store the apples in an air tight container with a little lemon juice to keep them from turning brown, or slice them as needed.
Who doesn’t like a little salt with their sweet? This was definitely a hit with the mini men and I plan on making it again even after the football season ends.
So as you prepare to celebrate the Big Game 2016 with your family and friends, make sure to stop at your local Safeway to pick up the ingredients for this tasty sweet and salty treat, oh and don’t forget the Tostitos Scoops and Chunky Salsa to make it a winning day for everyone!
What are you planning to serve for the Big Game 2016?
I love snacking on finger foods but am more excited to see and tweet about the commercials and of course the halftime show. Do you know who will be performing this year?
Don’t forget to look for the Pepsi display and enter for a chance to win $50,000!
Safeway is our favorite supermarket .
I love their fresh seafood too!
And we can tell the goods are nicely presented.
Yes, they are.
No Safeways around here and I miss Wegmans but we have cut back and almost out most of these snacks in an effort to do better eating wise. Apples and cheese with some nice ham slices has been working for us.
How about an Albertsons?
Nope! Don’t have those either.
I miss shopping at Safeway. I use to go there all the time when I was living in California. I didn’t know they’re on the East Coast too.
Yes, it is one of my favorite grocery stores.
That dip looks so good 🙂 I love how you call your sons mini men…lol.
Thanks Sonya, it was really good and I am not a big fan of Greek Yogurt. Yes, they are my mini men, as they are no longer boys…but not exactly full grown men!
