Is Goodwill Still A Good Deal? June 18, 2012

I remember the days when you could purchase clothing at Goodwill for 1 or 2 dollars.  Of course back then, thrifing wasn’t as popular or considered a chosen alternative to department stores.  There were always vintage boutiques where you expected to pay more, but never at Goodwill – not until now.  Here are a few items that I found at Goodwill in Thorndale, PA which ranged in price from $3.50 to $5.00, this location also receives unsold shoes from Target which is a good deal.

Mint Peek & Peck Collection Capris
replaced a pair I thrifted but were cut too low in the waist / re-donated to GW

Christopher & Banks Purple, faux suede maxi skirt

Cambridge Country Denim Skirt
I am going to bleach to give it a tie-dye effect

Blue and White stripped Maxi
will wear around the house or as a beach cover-up

Lapis skirt
same style as one purchased at Marshalls

I remember when these were the “it” shoes for the Spring from Target

New with tags

If you purchase shoes from GW, make sure to disinfect them using alcohol, bleach/water or disinfectant spray or all 3 – I always spray new shoes as well.
