I was born in 1961, so it seems strange to use the term “throwback” when referring to the 1980’s, but it is. Today’s outfit is totally thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill) but from two different decades. The blue and white Houndstooth blazer was thrifted in 1989, which you can probably tell by the Dynasty/Falcon Crest shoulder pads. Remember when they introduced Dianne Carroll as Dominique Deveraux; or the pool fight scene or the first time the “B” word was used, or when they went crazy after Rock Hudson revealed he had AIDS? Man oh Manischewitz, that was definitely some “must see TV!”
The skirt and shoes were just thrifted last year however, the styles make them look a little dated as well. The white shell earrings were purchased at Rehoboth Beach also in the ’80’s and match the buttons on the blazer.

I love the blazer and the scarf is a nice touch. I’m following you via Email. I host Fluster Creative Muster Party on Wednesdays and I would love it if you would come by and party with us. Hope to see you there!
I agree, Houndstooth will never go out of style. I think the outfit is classy and I love all things 80’s (being an 80’s baby) EXCEPT shoulder pads! You’re rocking in style from the GW Boutique 🙂
So classy. Houndstooth will never go out of style!
Nope, my sister had a eye for fashion!
Love the scarf on the bag. Great detail. (:
