Are you a Sleepyhead or Simply Sleep Deprived?
Are you a Sleepyhead or Simply Sleep Deprived?
Hello friends, are you an early riser or late sleeper? Do you like to see the sun rise or the sun set? What does it mean when it comes to your health? Are you up and at-em before the break of dawn, or are you sluggish and tired hitting the snooze button 3 or 4 times wishing you could sleep until 12 noon?
Are you sleep deprived or are just more active after the sun sets? How do you classify yourself? I like my grandmother considered myself a sleepy head, I can’t get started during the day, but as soon as the sun sets, I’m energized and ready to go, but actually I am sleep deprived!
According to WebMD here are 10 surprising and serious effects of sleep loss:
1. Sleepiness Causes Accidents
2. Sleep Loss Dumbs You Down
3. Sleep Deprivation Can Lead to Serious Health Problems
4. Lack of Sleep Kills Sex Drive
5. Sleepiness Is Depressing
6. Lack of Sleep Ages Your Skin
7. Sleepiness Makes You Forgetful
8. Losing Sleep Can Make You Gain Weight
9. Lack of Sleep May Increase Risk of Death
10. Sleep Loss Impairs Judgment, Especially About Sleep

I better rethink my blogging activities and get to bed – goodnight! HAPPY NEW YEAR ~ HAPPY NEW YOU!
I think I’m both but lack of sleep also causes weight gain! Eeeeekkk
I know, that’s the worse…which is explaining why the numbers on the scale are inching up…that and the Red Wine!
I truly think I’m a little of both. While I’m a total night owl and enjoy the night time and feel my best when the moon is up, I really don’t get nearly enough sleep. I truly believe in the side effects you listed of sleep-deprivation. When I don’t sleep enough (which is usually) I feel so scattered and like my brain is trying to catch up. I think it’s so important to get enough sleep but unfortunately that’s easier said than done for most of us. LOL
Hope you have a fantastic week.
Thank you and because of Miss Bee you don’t really have much down time. I am glad that my sons are older so at least I can sleep in late on the weekends. Hope you had a wonderful Wednesday.
I could be both but I generally like to get to bed early!

Good for you, I can never seem to make it before midnight. Hope you had a wonderful Wednesday.
Weight gain? Aging? Forgetfulness? No bueno! I agree Antionette 🙂 I need to put an end to late night blogging and get to bed by 11:30 pm. Happy Thursday!

I know…it’s 11:09 now and hopefully I’ll get there before midnight!! Have a wonderful weekend my friend.
I’m an early riser and I hate to stay up late! I get very cranky if for some reason I can’t get to sleep on time! I have no trouble at all getting to sleep. It seems my 3 year old is the same as me, he goes to bed early (before 8pm) and is awake at 6.30am usually, also it’s very easy to get him to sleep.
I remember those days, but like me, my sons are up late but they get to sleep in later than I. Believe it or not, I am still up working on my blog but will be hitting the sack shortly. Have a wonderful weekend!
Astonishing! I’m suddenly sleepy . . .
That’s funny…and yes, I am still up! Have a wonderful weekend.
I believe that I am both and I wish that I was more of one who got their proper rest and could be a non-sluggish riser and not wake in the middle of the night only to remain woke until a few hours or so before I have to be up and start my day. Then there’s the times when I wish I could sleep till noon…oh well such is life in a day/night with me…:)
I understand completely which is why on most weekends i never get out of bed until after 10, unless I have to be some place. I used to feel guilty, but not anymore. I hope you had a nice night.
I needy sleep but sometimes I stay up later to spend quality time with hubster at the end of the night.
That is definitely important!
I think I may be sleep deprived and have been unaware, and it explains so many things!! I can be so forgetful and my anxiety gets worst the busier i am, which is often!! Thanks for linking up to #workingmomwednesdays, pinned and tweeted…
Nancy, so true which explains why I am still up now! Thanks for the great party.
