Can you believe it, this is the last day of November! All the leaves have fallen from our trees which hasn’t made hubby too happy and there is less sunshine during the day which make my evening commute much worse.
Winter will be here and soon I’ll be wrapped in hats, scarves and gloves but until then I am still wrapped in sweaters and shawls.
As you can see, I was not wearing pantyhose or tights in these pics, however, since then have pulled them out and started wearing them because it got really chilly last week.
Speaking of last week, it was a very busy one because in addition to getting ready for Thanksgiving, I conducted a Basic Blogging Workshop at the Bear Library, and then presented a “Social Media for Personal and Professional Networking” Workshop for IAAP Administrators in Dover both of which were awesome.
Thanksgiving was nice, Malik came home Tuesday and I prepared a nice dinner for my mini men and hubby and we had more than enough to eat. The No Thaw Jennie-O Cajun Turkey was amazing and very easy to cook, from the freezer to the oven to the table in four hours. After dinner, I spent several hours pulling out winter sweaters, ironing and gathering items to be donated to the Salvation Army.
Not one who likes wearing winter coats, I do however, love this shawl because it’s large enough to be wrapped in total warmth and it matches perfectly with these suede fringed booties. If you remember, I purchased these booties from TJ Maxx for a Cowboy outfit and they are very comfy and cute – what do you think?
Last minute I changed from the shawl and booties and decided to wear this oversized, thrifted sweater with these Cognac color pumps to work instead. I also have these Fioni pumps in black purchased at a BOGO sale last month at Payless. I received several compliments from a few ladies in the office which made me feel pretty good.
This is not a “You Choose the Shoes” post, but I am going to ask, which pair would you have worn with this outfit?

A few weeks ago hubby took a solo vacation trip to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and it was the first time in our 27 years of marriage that he did so. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take the time off from work but felt he needed to get away and relax so I was glad that he did go alone.
He said he didn’t have as good of a time without me (of course), but did enjoy spending time by the water. Hopefully, this summer we will head back there as a family because we own a timeshare and it’s a great resort.
Metrostyle Affordable Quality Clothing for Women
Once home, we planned a lunch date at Aqua Sol, a restaurant on the C&D Canal which is also on a Marina. Once there we realized that not only was it closed for the season but that it was closed for good. Disappointed in not being able to eat we instead decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and scenery to take a few pictures, here I am in my Metrostyle Plum Pencil Skirt and Suede Plum Pumps.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out a Metrostyle Catalog lately, make sure to click this link to see the latest fall fashions that are not only stylish and trendy but also affordable quality clothing which is available in sizes from petite to extra large.
This Suiting Pencil skirt is also available in Plum Plaid and Black and comes in sizes 4 to 20, from Misses and Petite to Tall. You guys know how much I Iove shoes, so of course I had to get these matching Patent Heel Pumps which are Suede with a patent 3 1/4” heel and are uber comfortable because of the cushioned insoles.
I can wear these pumps with other color skirts as well and I have a few purple scarves that will pull it all together so expect to see me rocking these babies until the first signs of snow!
These suede pumps also come in sizes from 6M to 10M and in colors Red, Black and Latte which is a nice shade for Autumn.
Hubby and I had a nice time and I had to teach him how to take a selfie because the ones he took on vacation weren’t that great….sssh don’t tell him!
I hope Aqua Sol will reopen in the spring, but even if it doesn’t the Marina is always a nice place to visit to just watch the boats and relax by the water with hubby.

Well here we are again edging closer to the cold winter winds, so the time has come to say, “so long to short sleeves” This is the last time that I’ll be wearing a short sleeve dress to work without a cardigan or blazer. If you remember, this was actually the dress I wore to the Bloggers Night at the Grub Burger Bar.
My open toe shoes are also going to be packed up and replaced with tights, booties and boots. As much as I love the heat of the summer, I must admit that I am looking forward to the shorter and colder days of December.
I was trying to remember where I purchased this little black dress and then remembered that it was one of several that I had purchased to wear to my grandmother’s funeral in 2009. I am not sure if I wore it or chose instead to wear a blue one which was her favorite color. The Ethnic necklace with matching earrings were purchased several years before at a boutique in Wilmington.
These are my favorite peep-toe pumps; Jessica Simpson animal print that were purchased at a Consignment Shop in West Chester, PA. The purse is an Avon Accessory.
Hubby took a vacation trip to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic two few weeks ago, and for some strange reason I couldn’t sleep alone so I was up late way too late writing blog posts, including this one.
Now that he is back, I am sleeping like a baby and am very happy to have him home safe and sound. I am glad that he had an opportunity to get away and take some time to himself. After all he deserved it after the cancer diagnosis and the chemo treatments he underwent last year.
I am in the process of re-branding my business and my blog, so stay tuned for more exciting changes other than the obvious name change from DeDivahDeals to DelBlogger.

Yes, summer is officially over and even with a warm snap last week, the Autumn winds are blowing and there is a definite crispness in the air. I finally cleared my closet of the summer shorts and tanks and pulled out the long sleeve dresses, sweaters, wraps and wool skirts.
A few weeks ago when I got home from church, hubby and I took a Sunday afternoon drive and chose to cruise through Glasgow Park as we are planning on walking the trails there on Saturday mornings. There were several walkers, joggers, and parents with kids in strollers on this bright and beautiful day. Glasgow Park is a great place to go if you are looking to add a little exercise to your weekend routine or just get some fresh air with the family or to walk the dog.
Obviously, I was not dressed for any serious walking, however, I did walk over to the pond to see the Geese gather and take in the warmth of the sunshine on my face. Wearing this Blue Wool Midi A-Line Skirt from Chadwicks of Boston and Multi Color Shawl kept me comfy cozy and cute – what do you think?
Some of you may remember getting the Chadwicks of Boston catalogs in the mail and if you were anything like me, you would go through each page, “dog-earring” the ones with items that you wanted to order. This Blue Wool Midi A-Line Skirt was one of them as it is perfect for church and work and when the snow flakes begin to fall, I will be wearing my boots with it. I love the front kick pleat which makes it easier to maneuver when walking in the snow.
The American Shawl is a great cover-up because oftentimes I find wearing a heavy sweater uncomfortable especially by the end of the day. Wearing a shawl keeps my arms warm when walking outside and then I can shed it once inside the car or in the office when a “personal summer” hits – and you know what I mean #menopause
Chadwicks of Boston has been around for a while but their clothing is still modern and affordable. Ordering online at Chadwicks of Boston is easy and they have styles and sizes from Tall to Petite as well as Plus Sizes all at affordable prices to fit most budgets.
Check out the Wool Shop at Chadwicks of Boston to find this Midi A-Line Skirt which is also available in a New Camel color and the American Fringe Shawl is a one size fits all versatile and affordably priced garment.
Wool Midi A-Line Skirt: Wool skirt with a slight A-line silhouette and a modern front inverted pleat that adds a unique touch. Front and back darts create a great shape. Hidden back zipper.
- Wool/polyester/other
- Polyester lining
- Dry clean
- Imported
- Lengths: (M) 31″; (P) 28″

Hello friends, Happy 1st Sunday. I trust you all had a wonderful weekend and were able to spend some time with family, friends and perhaps do a little shopping. We had a soggy Saturday, but that didn’t stop a lot of people from heading out. Hubby and I actually spent a few hours at Wally World (Walmart) but not to do any Christmas shopping, it was groceries only.
Believe it or not, I haven’t put up one decoration nor brought the tree up from the basement! I’m not into the spirit just yet, however, I do know that by this time next weekend everything will be done!
This weekend may have been cold and soggy, but last weekend it was nice and sunny so this is what I wore to church. The pencil skirt is JC Penney and the top is so old, that I can’t remember where it was purchased, I do know that it was a suit and I donated the pants.
The clutch was purchased from DSW and the Traci Lynn Necklaces and Bracelet were a gift from hubby.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day, I’m heading down to Smyrna, for the 2nd Goodwill Stylist pull for the 2015 Runway Show.

Hello friends, I trust you all had a wonderful week and perhaps are now gearing up for the best holiday of the season – THANKSGIVING!
I don’t know about you but I think the industry is pushing Christmas way too early, I am still eating Halloween candy! The commercials, the songs, and now the decorations three weeks before Turkey Day is a bit much for me,
What are your thoughts?
Anywho, I finally broke out the winter boots and have worn my favorite pair twice last week, the over-the-knee suede boots and I am lovin’ them.
Today’s Sunday Style Roundup is featuring only two outfits and they are both entitled “Black N Boots” I also wore one of my Infinity Scarves purchased from Burlington Coat Factory to break up all the black in this outfit. The dress is a sleeveless sheath from Ross and the blazer is thrifted from Goodwill.
I always feel so corporate in a blazer and Goodwill is definitely the place to go for them.
In this second outfit the skirt is Worthington and cowl neck are both from JCPenney. The necklace was a new piece thrifted from Goodwill.
Lovely fall leaves
Today I am also featuring my oldest son, Tayair, not for what he’s wearing although he is handsome in his suit jacket. He spoke at his CLSC Open House on Tuesday evening. CLSC is the University of Delaware’s Career and Life Studies Certificate program, a 2-Year, non-residential college certificate program for young adults with intellectual disabilities and I was very proud of him!
What do you think, have they started promoting Christmas too early?Enjoy the rest of the week!

Hello friends and welcome to another week of Sunday Stylin Roundup. The last two weeks of summer were fantastic in Delaware, as a matter of fact the entire summer season was fantastic and Autumn is starting out just as nice.
The four outfits being featured this week include a lot of black, but who doesn’t have a lot of black in their closets?
In this outfit there is a mix of black, beige and steel grey. The skirt is JCPenney, tank and shoes are thrifted and purse is from Burlington Coat Factory. The choker has been in my jewelry box for a long time, as a matter of fact, I believe it once belonged to my grandmother.
I hadn’t done much shopping during the summer, however, this dress was one that I did buy at Ross. The Buddha Bag was purchased last year during Shop Small Business Saturday, and the Mia heels are from The Shoe Dept in the Exton Mall. The necklace was a Flea market find and the bracelet was $1.25 from Burlington Coat Factory.
Leaves falling on the pool deck made for a perfect backdrop for this Blue by the Pool outfit. This is another skirt from JCPenney, top from Marshall’s and I won the necklace from a fellow blogger. The thrifted beige pumps and bracelet from Old Navy completes the look.
I love turquoise blue – how about you?
In the last outfit you can tell that the temperatures are beginning to change as did my wardrobe. I will be wearing more long sleeves, blazers and cardigans so I spent more than 6 hours last Saturday in my closet, check out these before and after pics.
Unfortunately, I still have the spare bedroom to clear out – I had bags and bags of items to be donated to Goodwill – “Donate Stuff Create Jobs!”
I am not ready to cover my tootsies or wear tights, so I will continue wearing peep-toe shoes until the first snow fall.
How about you, are you ready to pull on the boots or shop for more summer styles? If you want to shop for more, go check out the sales at Shoedazzle or the BUY ONE GET ONE FREE SALE at JustFAB
Which outfit did you like the best?

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
In Delaware it is officially Autumn, the temps have dropped considerably (in the 50’s) and hubby even turned on the heat which I am definitely not happy about!
This sleeveless top was thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill) and the slacks were purchase a few seasons ago at Boscov’s. Asymmetrical sweater was purchased either at TJMaxx or Marshall’s also a few seasons ago.
Put on a sweater if you are cold – “don’t turn on the ding dang dong heat – man!” Can you tell that I am a miser – heck you can even call me Scrooge!
Pour little tomato, it waited too late in the season to ripen so now it’s a “half and half” tomato – do you have a recipe for Fried Green Tomatoes?
Pumps // Avon
I love the fact that Avon has really “stepped up” their shoe game because not only are they cute but they are also extremely comfortable!
Have you started wearing your Autumn Attire?
It snowed in upstate New York and Ohio so soon I will be wearing sweaters, hats, scarves and gloves – I am so not ready but maybe this year, hubby will be able to use his snow blower!
Have a fantabulous afternoon/evening – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday
Today I had to break out the jacket as the temperatures this morning dipped a little too low for wearing short sleeves. A few of you may recall the closet mishap that I had a few months ago, well it happened again – #ihavetoomanyclothes, now most of my clothes are laying across the bed in the guest room. Thankfully, I have a separate rack for just skirts so I grabbed this unwrinkled Polka Dot skirt to wear with the lime green knit top.
This spandex jacket has a pleather weaved pattern giving it an edgy look which is why I chose to wear the studded bracelet. The studs in the bracelet are silver and the ones in my shoes are gold but I don’t have a problem mixing metals.
How about you, do you mix your jewelry metals?
Black leather backpack belonged to my sister and has been in my closet since 1992, I’ve never used it.
My favorite end-of-the-season studded pumps by Leuven Alexander were purchased from Rugged Wearhouse.
Today’s almost Totally Thrifted Outfit is from Goodwill

Hope you are having a fantabulous day – Smooches!
