Hello friends, the countdown to turkey day is on? Do you believe that I didn’t realize that Thanksgiving was this Thursday until just the other day. I kept thinking we had another week.
Anywho, here we are once again, a Sunday Stylin Roundup and in keeping with last week’s theme, today it’s Black N Bootie. I wore my booties with two different outfits both of which I love but of course the leopard prints are my favorites.
This vest was thrifted from Goodwill about 2 years ago, however, I’ve only worn it one other time. It is actually covering this Avon embroidered chambray shirt.

The black suede booties are Unlisted purchased a couple of years ago from The Shoe Dept in the Exton Mall. Necklace is from Jewelrymax.net and bangles from Rugged Wearhouse.

You know that these are my favorite pair of booties – who doesn’t love leopard?
In both outfits I am wearing closet staples, black slacks, skirt and turtleneck which personally are not my favorites but the weather called for it. I wore the leopard print scarf to break up all the black. This outfit actually received quite a few compliments from co-workers.
I am using my old camera which for some strange reason is not taking as good of pictures as it used to, oh well I guess I’ll start using the Coolpix L830, however, it uses 4-AA batteries and I hate when batteries start to drain. Next week, let me know if you notice a difference.
Enjoy the rest of the day and I hope you finished your grocery shopping…I haven’t even started mine yet!

Hello friends, I trust you all had a wonderful week and perhaps are now gearing up for the best holiday of the season – THANKSGIVING!
I don’t know about you but I think the industry is pushing Christmas way too early, I am still eating Halloween candy! The commercials, the songs, and now the decorations three weeks before Turkey Day is a bit much for me,
What are your thoughts?
Anywho, I finally broke out the winter boots and have worn my favorite pair twice last week, the over-the-knee suede boots and I am lovin’ them.
Today’s Sunday Style Roundup is featuring only two outfits and they are both entitled “Black N Boots” I also wore one of my Infinity Scarves purchased from Burlington Coat Factory to break up all the black in this outfit. The dress is a sleeveless sheath from Ross and the blazer is thrifted from Goodwill.
I always feel so corporate in a blazer and Goodwill is definitely the place to go for them.
In this second outfit the skirt is Worthington and cowl neck are both from JCPenney. The necklace was a new piece thrifted from Goodwill.
Lovely fall leaves
Today I am also featuring my oldest son, Tayair, not for what he’s wearing although he is handsome in his suit jacket. He spoke at his CLSC Open House on Tuesday evening. CLSC is the University of Delaware’s Career and Life Studies Certificate program, a 2-Year, non-residential college certificate program for young adults with intellectual disabilities and I was very proud of him!
What do you think, have they started promoting Christmas too early?Enjoy the rest of the week!

Hello friends and welcome to Sunday Stylin Roundup. I trust you all had a wonderful weekend. We are now into full Autumn attire and I finally got all my closets cleaned – yay me! I didn’t get an opportunity to wear all of my summer dresses but next week I am going to repost a DIY in which I cut the bodice off a dress to make it a maxi skirt. I’ll be doing a few more of them as some of the dresses are cut too low to wear without a cover-up.
Here are last week’s outfits.
These two outfits one I wore at the end of September and the other was early October which is still warm enough to wear peep toes and pencil skirts.
Pencil skirts are by far my favorite types of skirts and the color grey with the classic black and white works equally well with green and beige. The red necklace is from Rainbow Shops and the beige beads are from Walmart, they have a really nice $5 and $10 Statement necklace assortment #stockingstuffer.
I call this outfit “Back to Basics“, because the white cotton shirt and tie are reminiscent of my early corporate days at IBM. Believe it or not, I still have several of the clip on ties that I wore back in the early 80’s! The skirt is from Walmart and the purse is from Avon as is the bracelets and watch. I participated in iamfabellis #fabwerkwear Instagram roundup, so if you get a minute go check out the other lovely ladies in classic white work shirts.
Breaking out the infinity scarves which I have draped around a body-form in the guest bedroom, most of which were on clearance from Burlington Coat Factory, but Walmart also has a large selection as well, starting at $4.97.
Two of my favorite consigned pieces, the Jessica Simpson leopard print peep-toes shoes and this leopard print vintage purse. A simple top from Boscov’s and brown thrifted skirt made this outfit a mid-week special.
Another infinity scarf breaks of the basic blue skirt from JCPenney and green scoop top thrifted from Goodwill. I had forgotten about these Unlisted shoes from the Shoe Dept, but seemed to work well with the tote from Target as well as the thrifted pink clutch.
I ended the work week in a “Poncho and Pencil” skirt and pointy toe shoes from DSW. The pencil skirt and thrifted sleeveless tank were covered in a printed poncho from Boscov’s. I didn’t need to change up my purse as the tote from Target worked well. The accessories I chose were a wooden beaded necklace, a Flea Market find, and wood earrings from Claire’s.
So which outfit did you like the best?

Hello friends, I trust you all had a wonderful weekend, mine was quite busy and it’s going to continue late into the night.
This evening I will be heading up to Wilmington to cover the Gordesi Launch Experience – Summer 2015 Collection as part of the VIP Press corp. I am really looking forward to attending this fashion event and I can’t wait to bring you all the exciting coverage.

Speaking of fashion, here is last week’s outfit roundup.
I am going to title this outfit “All in the Family”. Reading through fashion blogs I learned that if you are going to mix patterns, make sure the colors are all in the same family. So with this maxi skirt and black and white shirt, I chose to wear leopard print shoes and purse, I surprised myself with how it all came together.
The belt, purse and top were all thrifted from Goodwill, the flats were purchased at Citi Trends and the skirt has been in my closet forever. What do you think?
This outfit I am calling “Black and Blue Block”. You know how much I like my sleeveless sheath dresses and this one from Ross is no exception, and with it are my favorite Mia heels and Buddah Bag.
Necklace is Avon and bracelet is Old Navy. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the best thing about a sheath dress is that you can wear it all year long by just adding a blazer or cardigan when the temperatures dip. Speaking of Avon, check out my latest YouTube Video, it’s an Avon unboxing which includes beauty supplies that will be part of my Holiday Spa Day Giveaway coming next month!
Here I am in a bright Autumn orange. Orange is definitely a color that works well with my skin tone, not only in the summer but also during the fall. I like this top because it is so colorful and I think it was purchased at Rugged Wearhouse, can’t remember, but the wedge heels were.
I love to mix and match my bangle bracelets as well as the multi color necklace. This Pumpkin floral arrangement was a free find at work, it almost got tossed in the trash but it’s the only thing I use to decorate the house because I donated all the other Halloween decorations a few years ago. Now that my sons are older, we don’t really celebrate it anymore.
Do you decorate the house and yard for Halloween?

My only Halloween Decoration
This last outfit is entitled “Wild Wednesday”. Unfortunately, hubby didn’t get a good view of the peep toe wedges as they also have the “wild stripes” along the bottom.
This purse has been in my closet since 2008, it was one of those “I have to go back and get it” finds at a Flea Market in Orlando. Unfortunately, it has been on the top shelf in my closet for years but I just won’t get rid of it. I love the Egyptian pattern but it’s too small to even hold my wallet!
This khaki skirt was thrifted and the top is a one-piece twin set. In keeping with the wild theme, I am wearing brass earrings, beaded necklace, multi metal bracelet and oversized handmade ring – it was a wild and crazy day! So which outfit did you like the best?
Enjoy the rest of your day and we’ll chat tomorrow at Money Monday.

Hello friends and welcome to another week of Sunday Stylin Roundup. The last two weeks of summer were fantastic in Delaware, as a matter of fact the entire summer season was fantastic and Autumn is starting out just as nice.
The four outfits being featured this week include a lot of black, but who doesn’t have a lot of black in their closets?
In this outfit there is a mix of black, beige and steel grey. The skirt is JCPenney, tank and shoes are thrifted and purse is from Burlington Coat Factory. The choker has been in my jewelry box for a long time, as a matter of fact, I believe it once belonged to my grandmother.
I hadn’t done much shopping during the summer, however, this dress was one that I did buy at Ross. The Buddha Bag was purchased last year during Shop Small Business Saturday, and the Mia heels are from The Shoe Dept in the Exton Mall. The necklace was a Flea market find and the bracelet was $1.25 from Burlington Coat Factory.
Leaves falling on the pool deck made for a perfect backdrop for this Blue by the Pool outfit. This is another skirt from JCPenney, top from Marshall’s and I won the necklace from a fellow blogger. The thrifted beige pumps and bracelet from Old Navy completes the look.
I love turquoise blue – how about you?

In the last outfit you can tell that the temperatures are beginning to change as did my wardrobe. I will be wearing more long sleeves, blazers and cardigans so I spent more than 6 hours last Saturday in my closet, check out these before and after pics.

Unfortunately, I still have the spare bedroom to clear out – I had bags and bags of items to be donated to Goodwill – “Donate Stuff Create Jobs!”
I am not ready to cover my tootsies or wear tights, so I will continue wearing peep-toe shoes until the first snow fall.
How about you, are you ready to pull on the boots or shop for more summer styles? If you want to shop for more, go check out the sales at Shoedazzle or the BUY ONE GET ONE FREE SALE at JustFAB

Hello friends, each week I will put together a collage of my favorite outfits of the week, then post them here on Sunday Stylin RoundUp.
This first outfit I wore to the SITSGirls Bloggy Boot Camp in Philly. The skirt was a recent purchase from Burlington Coat Factory, as was the tote from Walmart. This tote bag was only $14.97 and they have a large selection in various colors, I will probably pick up another one in Cognac. The sandals and top are closet staples. The necklace and arm band are too old for me to remember where they were purchased but the red bracelet is from Old Navy.
As you can see, I love the tote and wore it again to work the following Monday with a thrifted faux wrap dress from Goodwill and thrifted beige pumps. Necklace from Rugged Wearhouse, bracelet and ring both from Old Navy.
On Sunday, I wore another totally thrifted outfit, dress and purse, however the blue pumps and necklace are from Avon. Ring and bracelet are from Old Navy, as you can see I picked up several, but for $1.99 each wouldn’t you?
If you haven’t noticed by now, black and red is one of my favorite color combinations, and this outfit is definitely one of my summer favs. I wear this thrifted skirt all year long, so you will probably see this entire outfit again with a blazer.
These were my favorite outfits from the first week in September, which one do you like the best?

Hello friends and welcome to the weekend!
Today is my 53rd Birthday and later on I will be celebrating it with my hubby and son with a dinner down at the Christiana Riverfront.
In the meantime, I thought I would post a few summer outfits that didn’t quite make it to the blog. However, if you follow me on Instagram you might remember seeing some of them in a “Fashion after Fifty” post.
You know how much I love black and white polka dots, so with this outfit I accented it with gold accessories. Both the top and pants are thrifted, the purse is quite old as are the sandals. The bracelet was purchased at the QVC Outlet in Frazer, PA, Avon watch and the ring is from Old Navy.
This was another Casual Friday with white jeans and sequins top which I had never worn during the day, but hey, YOLO and I’m over 50! The purse was found at Charmingly Linda’s Consignment Shop in West Chester, PA and the studded sandals are staples in my closet.
This was another fun outfit, with the pink lace top, pink gingham shoes from Rugged Wearhouse and multi-color purse from Ross. I chose to anchor the outfit with a black pencil skirt.
And finally my all time favorite outfit of the season, mixing brown and blue with a studded top thrifted from Goodwill, faux Jimmy Choo purse and multiple bangles from Old Navy. The faux Snakeskin pumps from Target are a pair of my favorite pumps so they will be worn a lot this fall.
So what do you think, not bad for an old lady huh…?
Which outfit do you like best?

Hello friends,
I trust you are all getting back into the swing of things after the long Labor Day weekend – just think tomorrow is Fri-Yay! I spent most of my weekend clearing out the basement and was able to gather a lot of items to be donated to Goodwill.
I am thankful to be blessed with an abundance, however, sometimes it can be a bit too much so donating the excess is always a good thing – Donate Stuff Create Jobs.
Next week I will begin working on my closets so that I can create room for more stuff…

Speaking of creating room in my closet, these two outfits were put together with the same skirt. The skirt is a thrifted find from Goodwill and because brown is a great color for summer as well as fall you will probably see it again next month.
The top was on clearance at J.C. Penney and the purse was also a great find however, not from Goodwill but from Ross. My accessories, the bracelets on the left and watch are from Avon, the bracelet on the right and ring are from Old Navy.
For this look, I wore a leopard print top also thrifted from Goodwill and large Jimmy Choo inspired bag. Necklace and earring set is from Jewelrymax.net
With each outfit I wore my favorite Jessica Simpson peep-toe pumps from Charmingly Linda’s Consignment Shop. I am so thankful that the weather was perfect during the summer months after such a harsh winter. Let’s pray for a gorgeous Indian Summer and Autumn.
Even though I didn’t get a chance to wear a lot of my summer clothes, as I go through my closets, anything not worn in the past two years will be donated.
How do you decide when to get rid of clothing?
I am thankful that I am able to donate to Goodwill; I am thankful that we had a wonderful holiday; I am thankful to be attending my 1st SITS Bloggy Boot Camp in Philadelphia tomorrow and last but not least, I am thankful for my family, my friends and of course my faith.
Now it’s your turn, what are you thankful for this week?

Hello friends,
I am thankful that the summer weather here in the Mid-Atlantic area has not been oppressively hot and humid. We did get some really heated days earlier in the season but then came those low to mid-80’s temps which were fantastic.
Last month I read a blog post by Mo over at “Who is that Girl Mo” which gave me the inspiration to wear this scarf.
I wore the outfit on a Casual Friday which is when I like wearing my white jeans or pants.
I have several pairs of white pants, these included which were thrifted from Goodwill, the infinity scarf was purchased last fall from Burlington Coat Factory.
The sleeveless tank top, tote bag and wrap-around bracelet are all from Avon – didn’t I tell you that they have nice accessories!
I love how these Montego Bay sandals pulls in the colors from the scarf.
Thank you Mo for the inspiration, whoa, hold on…wait a minute…come to think of it…I did wear a summer scarf last year…uh oh, I think I just had a a “senior moment”!
June 2013 OOTD – click on picture to see entire post
Well it was probably a temporary lapse in memory, but I am thankful that I did remember and thanks to Mo’s post, it was the trigger.
This has been yet another wonderful week and yesterday our ‘baby bird’ left the nest! Both of our sons are now in college and I am thankful for that, even if my wallet isn’t.
I am thankful for the time we have together as a family, I am thankful for my friends and of most importantly I am thankful for my faith.
Now it’s your turn – what are you thankful for this week?
I hope you will join me over at Katherine’s Corner to share some of your favorite things.

Hello friends,
before we begin this week’s contest please hand me a tissue and then let’s do a group hug…because today is the day that my little birdie leaves the nest!
Yes, we are enroute to Bowie State University where he will be living for the next 4 years, and hopefully only 4! Where did the time go? I still remember his first day of school like it was just yesterday!

Oh well, on the flip side, it’s one less mouth to feed and another closet to store my shoes…speaking of which – welcome to Week 19 of “You Choose the Shoes“.
Thank you all for voting last week, but I had a feeling that the Montego Bay slides were not going to win – they were just a bit too busy. So congratulations to “Lady in Red“.
This weeks contenders are very similar in style and you will be choosing between shoes with a bow and a pair without a bow.
If memory serves me well these wedges, one pair Dollhouse and the other Bamboo were purchased at either Ross or Rugged Wearhouse. Today with them I am wearing a tie dye maxi skirt from Marshalls and a thrifted top and belt from Goodwill.
The no-bow pair, has juke rope around the bottom and are very comfortable.
The straps are adjustable and the color is neutral enough to be worn with many outfits.
The ‘bow‘ pair are also very comfortable, faux suede and neutral in color, however, the straps are not adjustable.
Okay, have you made a decision? Will it be the “bow” pair
or the “no bow pair”?
Before you vote, take a look at them solo
