Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
Last weekend we finally got a break in the cold winter weather with temperatures rising above 50 degrees, it felt almost summer like after all that freezing snow. In celebration of the warm weekend I decided to wear this bright yellow twin-set sweater to church on Sunday – whew, that’s a mouthful!
I paired the thrifted sweater set with yet another thrifted find, a brown striped skirt.
These Romance Soles kitten heel pumps were another fantastic thrifted find and if you remember, I also got them in Navy Blue. This was the last post in which I wore them (click here).
The beaded necklace was a clearance purchase from Rugged Wearhouse for ($1.00) – #winning
This Rosetti purse was not thrifted, however, it was purchased from a Flea Market vendor in Florida for less than $20.00.
So what do you think about this week’s “I Got It @Goodwill” totally thrifted outfit (minus the accessories)?

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
Today’s totally thrifted outfit with the exception of the shoes was purchased at Goodwill. Each piece was purchased separately from a Goodwill store either in Middletown or Smyrna.
In my mind I saw this outfit fitting differently, but hubby said it looked okay, so I stayed with it. The sweater, top, and skirt were $3.75 each but I bought them during the 20% off sale, paying only $3.00 each, and the belt was 80 cents. #winning
The suede pumps are Chinese Laundry, purchased from DSW, and off-black pantyhose from Walmart.
I thought about using a different style belt, however, it wasn’t until I got to work that I decided to change the way I wore the belt. I put it around the top and not the sweater which made me feel and look less bulky.
What do you think, which way would you have worn it?
After work I met up with one of the 2014 Goodwill Runway Show models and found these Nine West booties which now makes this outfit totally thrifted.
You never know what you might find at your local Goodwill, look what I saw before leaving.
Unfortunately, they were a size 7, too small for my feet and at $250.00, were too big for my purse.
Today I am linking up with Whitney Nic James for her Snow Day OOTD and ColorBlind Thrifters Anonymous pick of the week.

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
Tonight is the night…is the night…is the night…for another major SNOWSTORM – gotta love it right – NOPE! I don’t think the Robin’s in our neighborhood believes it either because they have been flying around enjoying the sun-filled days. I truly feel in my heart of hearts that this will be the last big winter snow storm of the season, what do you think?
One good thing about this month is every Sunday all adult winter clothing is just $2.00 and children’s clothing only $1.00 at Goodwill stores in Delaware and Delaware County. Last Sunday I had to meet up with one of the Runway models, so I took advantage of the day to stock up on more sweaters, seems like I’ll get a chance to wear them all in this never ending cold winter weather.
This Merona from Target colorblock sweater wasn’t part of the sale because it was new with tags, but when I saw it I grabbed it. I knew it would compliment a skirt that was previously thrifted and each piece cost only $3.75. What do you think?
Yes, I am wearing peep-toe booties in the snow! They are attention brand by Kmart, purchased a few years ago and no my toes are not cold (Miss Terri).
I couldn’t pass up this $2.00 Elizabeth Arden tote because it was the perfect size to carry to work. It’s roomy enough to hold my camera case and lunch bag as well as anything else I might need for the day AND the color – perfectly matches the outfit!! #winning
I don’t know about you, but I simply love finding these thrifted treasures and each week I’ll feature a different sweater as long as the weather holds out so that might be until June!
Today, I’m linking up with 3 of my favorite thriftinistas, Whitney Nic James, ColorBlind and DC Goodwill Fashionista. If you haven’t checked out these ladies, may I suggest you do as they too feature some awesome thrifted finds.
Oh, and if you are looking to jazz up your winter wardrobe by adding a pop of color, check out the flash sale over at * Hannah Jane’s Boutique. 15 colorful skinny belts originally $12.99 are on sale for only $5.99 with FREE shipping by using the code BELT50 at checkout. Hello Friends and Happy Texting Tuesday
I recently read an article about touch screen gloves by The North Face company that allows users to use their Smartphones to text in the cold weather without having to remove them. Being the frugal fashionista that I am, I doubt if I’ll ever purchase a pair considering the $45 cost and the fact that I really do not need them. I don’t live in New York City or Philadelphia, my commute is in the car which of course is a no texting while driving zone, so for the short amount of time I do spend outdoors, I think my fingers can handle it.
Today’s dress for less outfit is accented by a pink suede jacket from GW Boutique (Goodwill) and faux suede loafers from Wally World (Walmart) that I DIY studded.
Pink is obviously one of my favorite colors as evidenced by my OtterBox cell phone shell.
Slacks and scarf are closet staples and polka dot top is also thrifted from GW Boutique.
What do you think, would you purchase a pair of the touchscreen gloves or do you already have a pair?

Hello Friends and Happy Thankful Thursday
I recently read an article by my favorite financial advisor Michelle Singletary who is an author and Award Winning Nationally Syndicated Columnist for The Washington Post. She wrote about the case of former Virginia Governor Robert McDonnell and his wife, Maureen. Seems like they got themselves into trouble for taking gifts and loans in exchange for political favors. I know this isn’t anything new in politics but what I found to be interesting was the fact they, like so many others found themselves in dire financial straits, drowning in credit card debt trying to keep up appearances.
I am truly thankful for being thrifty and I always enjoy meeting others who are just as frugal if not more so. Being a thriftinista isn’t just in vogue it’s what keeps most of us out of the financial fire pit called credit card debt.
It’s not that I don’t understand the McDonnell’s predicament because I too have lived beyond my means and paid dearly for it. I’ll be the first to admit that my finances aren’t where they should be but I do know that if I want designer duds, I’ll find a consignment shop with a quickness. I paid less for this gown than I did for a full tank of gas (sorry this is a old cell phone pic).
Today in addition to being thankfully thrifty, I am thankful for my family, friends and of course my faith. I am also thankful to be participating in today’s Social Media Workshop sponsored by The Money School of Delaware, I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
Now it’s your turn, what are you most thankful for this week?

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
I have been sticking to my resolution of enjoying each day to it’s fullest and not just living for the weekend, however, to be honest, I am looking forward to Saturday! The days are getting longer so there’s more light during my evening commute, but it’s still a tiring commute so it’s only the weekends that I get to sleep in.
Today’s outfit with the exception of the animal print booties was totally thrifted from GW Boutique during their 20% off sale.
I picked up a few turtleneck sweaters even though I don’t particularly like how they emphasis my turkey neck, they do keep me warm. Mustard is one of my favorite colors and this Talbot’s sweater has just the right amount of stretch so I don’t feel like I’m being choked.
I fell in love with this belt but even more so with the price – $1.00 #winning
Just like black shoes, you can never have too many pairs of black pants and these are also Talbot’s. The booties were purchased at the Deb Shop last year at the Exton Square Mall.
So the grand total for today’s outfit minus the booties was $6.80!
Have you thrifted a good deal lately?

Hello Friends and Welcome to Slow Cooker Saturday!
Do you find yourself rushing through the work week in order to get to the weekends? If so, do you realize that you are just rushing your life away? I know because I’m guilty of doing it, so from now on, other than Mondays I’m going to slow down and enjoy all of the week days.
Do you live for the weekends?
I’m up early and out for the first dress rehearsal for Goodwill’s 2014 Runway Show. The models will get a chance to see and try on what we, the stylists has chosen for them to wear. I met with my models previously and they had an opportunity to try on their outfits in Goodwill fitting rooms. Today with some added accessories we will all get a chance to see what they will be wearing on the runway and I am anxious.
Friday’s Foodie Feature was preempted by the Weekend Wind-Down Party (#WWDParty) have you linked up, if not, please do and share a post with us.

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
I hope your week has been going well and that you are now gearing up for a wonderful weekend. Two Saturdays ago I drove to Claymont to meet Erin, a model in the 2014 Goodwill Runway Show for her final fitting.
We met to find the last few pieces to complete her wardrobe and afterwards we did a little thrifting for ourselves.
Erin found these metal pieces which she said she’ll use as candle covers, vases for artificial plants or maybe to hang her earrings. What do you think, what would you use them for?
This Briggs New York Skirt will be added to my collection ($3.75) and the new Victoria Secrets Handbag will be part of the Goodwill Runway Show Boutique.
I hit the jackpot in the men’s department and was able to stock up on sweaters for my sons and hubby also $3.75 each #winning
Can’t beat finding a J. Crew sweater for only $3.75
Too bad this shopper found this faux suede jacket first, otherwise it would have been in my cart! Don’t you think it would have been perfect with the skirt?
Even with snow on the ground, it’s never to early to think about Spring and Summer shoes. Check out the embellishment on these acrylic sandals – cute!
Now I need to gather more items to donate back to Goodwill!
Have you done any winter thrifting, if so, why not share at Thrifters Anonymous

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
My husband usually takes an interest in what I wear to work, even though he complains that I have too many clothes. Our schedules overlap with him leaving before I wake, and when I get home he’s downstairs working out and I’m anxious to change. On Sunday when he asked what I had chosen I reluctantly said, “pants, because of the snow”, he knows I prefer to wear dresses and skirts to work and jeans or pants on the weekends. Most if not all of my skirts are thrifted, they are the first things I look for at Goodwill.
Even though it’s the winter season and we are dealing with snowstorms and extreme temperatures I still like wearing skirts to work and will simply layer up with tights, boots and sometimes even Long Johns!
Faux Suede Boots // Rugged Wearhouse
Animal Print Maxi Skirt – Goodwill
Of course I’ll wear a long coat but I am quite comfortable in a skirt during the winter.
How about you ladies, do you wear dresses and skirts in the winter?
I Feel Pretty warm in my boots as does Alison, so come on over and join in on her Link Up today.
