Staying Warm in a Skirt
Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
My husband usually takes an interest in what I wear to work, even though he complains that I have too many clothes. Our schedules overlap with him leaving before I wake, and when I get home he’s downstairs working out and I’m anxious to change. On Sunday when he asked what I had chosen I reluctantly said, “pants, because of the snow”, he knows I prefer to wear dresses and skirts to work and jeans or pants on the weekends. Most if not all of my skirts are thrifted, they are the first things I look for at Goodwill.
Even though it’s the winter season and we are dealing with snowstorms and extreme temperatures I still like wearing skirts to work and will simply layer up with tights, boots and sometimes even Long Johns!

Animal Print Maxi Skirt – Goodwill
Of course I’ll wear a long coat but I am quite comfortable in a skirt during the winter.
How about you ladies, do you wear dresses and skirts in the winter?
I Feel Pretty warm in my boots as does Alison, so come on over and join in on her Link Up today.
Stay Blessed – No Stress in the New Year!
That’s a nice animal print skirt and it’s good that you still get to wear what you want despite the cold temperatures. 🙂
Yes, I don’t know what it is, but my body has changed and I am more comfortable in dresses and skirts. Hope you had a wonderful day.
You look Great and I love the sexy hair. . . Yeah!!
Thank you my dear…the sun was brilliant that morning. Happy Fri-Yay!
Only with boots and tights otherwise it’s pants!
I know especially in Ohio – too cold over there….
I love skirts and dresses all year too! In fact, it’s a cold day today and I’m still wearing a knee length skirt, but with tights. Love your look here, I cant get enough leopard print! I’m wearing my new (thrifted) leopard flats right now!
Leopard is such a timeless print and anything I can find at Goodwill I will buy. I have one pair of flats but am looking for a better pair. Happy Fri-Yay!
I love the boots and necklace. The skirt looks great on you! Very cute outfit.
Thank you so very much – Happy Fri-Yay!
Really love the boots! They are fabulous!!

Thank you my dear and Happy New Year!
I need to go shopping with you because the Goodwills out here sucks!
Come on over, we’d have a blast – you should see what I got last week! Have a fantabulous day.
I totally still rock dresses ad skirts in the winter! I might actually do it moreso in the winter than the summer just because they’re the perfect canvas for layering! And I also found that layering tights helps break up the monotony of winter (mixing patterns over solids) while keeping me warm! Loving the pattern in your skirt!
Thank you and I love the idea of layering the tights, I might try that with fishnets – lol!! Hope you are enjoying this beautiful day.
Love the look! It’s funny how our men can say us women have to many clothes but I BEG to differ. Their is no such thing.. You look great. IF I don’t have on tights I probably wouldn’t it would be pants for me to but truthfully when is it ever really cold in CALI?
So true, when my husbands says that, I say, well at least I wear them! I used to live in Cali way back in the 70’s so I know the temps never get too chilly for dresses and skirts. I hope you are enjoying the day.
Love the skirt with the boots..so fab
We have no winter here, he he 😉 so it’s skirts and dresses all year long!

Love the skirt with these cozy boots! Kisssssss!
Thank you my dear – they definitely are keeping my legs warms during these Artic blasts!
I work from home so I am usually in sweats but overall I prefer skirts or dresses they are just so comfortable to me.
Yes, I understand, I worked from home for a year in 2005, but never understood the term “Sweats” because I definitely didn’t sweat in them – lol! Hope you are having a Happy Fri-Yay Eve!
