Not Officially Named Hog Heaven Thrift Shop
“Not offically named Hog Heaven” which by the way is what they call it because they haven’t officially named it, is located on 510 Lancaster Avenue, Frazer PA and is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10-6. The thrift shop is so new that I had to add it to my Foursquare check in.
Upon entering this cash only shop I was immediately transported back to my “Cousin Bessie’s” house in Port Chester, NY. It’s like walking into your grandma’s or auntie’s living room and parlor. You remember the rooms that you were not allowed to enter because of all the glass knick knacks.
As a small child you couldn’t help but be amazed as your senses were overwhelmed by the colorful candy dishes, pictures, pottery, dolls, cups with saucers and an array of bric-a’-brac displayed throughout the room
This shop is truly a thrifter’s paradise and as we “oohed and aahed” looking at the little trinkets on display I couldn’t keep from laughing with the thought that I too have several similar pieces at home, just not enough to open my own thrift shop. (hubby might disagree).
The living room and parlor contained so many vintage items that it brought back fond memories of my childhood growing up, there was even a scrubbing board. The lovely shopkeeper, Donna was such a pleasant person and she introduced us to Ms. Lilly Langtry, a transplant from Jersey!
You do find the cool places! I’d be right in there with the old cameras and tea cups 🙂 Did you buy the leather?
Thanks, gotta love a good vintage shop. No, the leather set was too small darn it! I hope you are feeling better.
They look like they have great vintage stuff.
They do, and next week I am going back. Hope you had a terrific Tuesday!
My mother would be on Cloud 9 if she saw this.
Really, is she also a thriftinista?
I don’t know, but I think she loves flea markets. We went to thrift shops in London, in Portebello, and the stores look something like the photos you have here. Mom bought old door knobs, believe it or not.
She sounds like a thriftinista to me – love it!
SIS!!! This store looks like it has so many amazing treasures. Thank you for sharing! Did you get that bronze pant set?! It would look AMAZING on you!!
Thanks lil sis, no because it was too small, but you know I wanted it! I’ll be going back next week to search out some treasures.
The leather two piece pants outfit looks like a winner. . .did you try it on?
Unfortunately it was too small! But you know I wanted to! Hope your Tuesday is terrific.
Wow, this looks like a great place! I love it!

It was and I can’t wait to go back next week! I hope you had a terrific Tuesday.
I love little thrift shops like this and antique shops. Those little wooden stacking men are so cute. Might be something I’d buy just for fun. I love looking at small pieces of furniture and things I can use for something other than it’s intended purpose. Great shop find!
Yes, I think that’s a great idea, and will definitely do so next week when I got back. Happy Hump Day!
You always find great places and cool stuff. Thank you for sharing with us. Hope you had an amazing and blessed Easter.
Thank you, I enjoy it and always appreciate the kind words and support. Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
Looks a great thrift store, I need to go shopping now 🙂 great dress your wearing. Thanks for hopping over #Mondaymingle
Thank you, it was a great thrift shop and I can’t wait to go back!
I love finding a new thrift shop! I’m always excited to go inside a shop I’ve never been to because you’ll never know what you’ll find. Like you, I don’t have to buy something but if something catches my eye, I will definitely consider buying. Goodwill inventory here goes by so fast that you if you want it, put it in your cart!
I would love to have a collection of fine china, the older the better but it seems that you rarely find complete set in thrift stores. If I see a nice delicate teacup and saucer, I would buy it.
It blew me away because it was the first time I’ve ever visited a thrift shop and there was so many neat things. I can’t wait to go back and just browse! Happy Hump Day Wednesday.
I already see stuff I want to buy, which is why I must never go shopping with you!!!!!! Laughing……of course I always see stuff I wanna buy…..sigh 😉
aahh…we’d have a ball shopping!
