Eighteen years ago today, I gave birth to my 2nd son, al-Malik Glorian Blake and now I sit here wondering – WHERE DID THE TIME GO?????
People would often say, “cherish the moments because they go by fast”. I remember when I just wanted him to sleep through the night…to learn how to walk…to learn how to talk…to learn how to feed himself…to be potty trained…to start school…to get his driver’s license and after all that happened…this is him today ~ an 18 year old mini man!
Happy birthday to your son. I say all the time I barely remember raising two kids. When did I do that. Why can’t I recall every detail. It seems like it went by at lightning speed and I just watched a movie called “Life.” It was over way too soon and the movie was so good. I laughed, I cried and now it’s over. Can I go back and see it again. Sorry, but that was a one time only, special premiere showing.
Happy birthday, Malik! May you enjoy many, many more!!!
Awww…happy 18th Malik! xo
It goes really fast…I remeber changing my daughter’s diaper like it was just yesterday and this year she’s starting kindergarten.
I know…time flies and although it’s part of life, I wish we could turn back the hands of time for just a little while. Congrats mommy for having a little one getting ready for school!
Happy birthday to your son! 🙂
My little man will be two and I can’t get over how fast the time goes!
I was 34 recently, and my mother said exactly the same thing to me.
I don’t think it will ever change!
Some things never change, her mother probably said the same thing to her and it’s so true. I can’t remember him being two but I do know that it wasn’t “terrible two’s”. Hope you and lil man have a wonderful week.
Yes, he did, thank you. I still can’t remember when those years flew by and after looking at pics when he was younger, I couldn’t help but shed a few tears. Hope you had a wonderful weekend.
Happy birthday to your son! My son will be 12 soon, on the cusp of being a teen. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone either. He’s a good looking boy, er, man now, huh?
Aah, aren’t you the lucky one…soon you will be the proud mommmy of a TWEEN – let the grunting begin – lol. Sometimes I look in the rearview mirror wishing for a carseat…only to see him driving down the street! God bless us all! Have a wonderful week.
Happy Birthday to your son Antionette! I’m still on the early stages of mommyhood but I feel you when you say where does the time go?! They grow up so fast!
Thank you my dear, I never thought twice when people said that to me when he was younger. Now I wish I could go back to when I was his world and hanging onto my leg was a daily event! Congrats and good luck, make sure to enjoy these early days…they go by too quickly!
Happy Birthday to your handsome son!! Nice family pics! Hugz Lisa and Bear
Thank you, we/he had a nice day together which for me was the best “the day I gave birth” gift!
