Same Skirt ~ Different Season
Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
I trust your week is going well and all is good in your neighborhood! When I decided to wear this maxi skirt the first thing I noticed was how beautifully the colors transitioned from Summer to Fall.
Although there is still plenty of snow left on the ground or at least on my back deck, the winds were mild enough so my legs didn’t get too cold. The longer sweater and booties also kept me warm so perhaps this skirt will make another appearance during a winter month (with tights and over-the-knee boots).
This sweater was actually a Christmas gift that my hubby gave to my grandmother over 10 years ago. I’ve always loved the color and the length as well as the crocheted cowl neck collar.
The beige booties were purchased a few seasons ago at Rugged Wearhouse and are quite comfortable, more so than the brown ones that I gave away last week on Instagram. If you don’t follow, you should because I will be giving away more in the near future. #payitforward
Here I tried to re-create the #myessence photo, so what do you think, which season did I wear it better?
I know you are busy but if you get a chance hop over to Alison’s blog and “Get Your Pretty On!” this wonderful Wednesday.
Have a blessed day and don’t forget to share it – Smooches!
Love it! but I’m not sure about those snow flakes falling on the page…As i’m ready for spring already…hahahaha 🙂
I am too…but we wouldn’t appreciate the Spring if it weren’t for the snow. Enjoy the rest of the day my dear.
You look Great in both. Something about that beautiful mustard top that is working that skirt. . .
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Thank you, yes, I like the top better than the sweater because it make me look thinner – lol! Happy Holidays!
Lovely! Both outfits look great. I do like the yellow top – it really makes the colors of the skirt “pop.”
Yes, thank you. How are you doing…getting through the days okay? Know that I am still praying for you.
I love both looks. Versatile pieces are great. I think my fave is the yellow top really complements the skirt. Have a great holiday!

Hi Antionette, I love the skirt and its bright great colors. I prefer the bright mustard shirt because it lightens up your face. Great snow you have there… Sara
Thank you, yes, I am definitely a yellowy and orange person. Hopefully the snow will be gone and replaced with sunshine and temps in the 70’s for the weekend – yay!!!
Hi, Antionette! Sorry I’m a day late to the party…You look GORGEOUS. Are those suede booties you are wearing? Love them. (I just bought the cutest suede booties off eBay and plan to talk about them next week on the blog; I am obsessed with brown/tan leather booties these days!)
Better late than never! I love my suede booties and have two pair of blue ones which will be featured soon. I can’t wait to see yours, enjoy the rest of this beautifully blessed day!
Thank you, you, too!
I love this ouftit, the colour is great on you! 🙂
Thank you and so comfy casual. Have a thankful Thursday!
I have to admit, I am a little jealous of the snow. We’re expecting weather in the 70s this weekend. I love how you took a skirt and made it work for both summer and winter. 🙂 looking great!
Thank you but we are warming up as well so all this pretty white stuff will be just a slushy memory soon!
